Bowser Party should've been the entire game. It's what was advertised, it justifies the cart mechanic, and has a ton of potential. The problem is that all the boards are from the normal mode, there's only three boards, there aren't that many mini-games, and the time it takes varies immensely. One time I was playing with my best friend and he killed everyone in like five minutes. Never got to the first castle it ended that quickly. If this wasn't half complete it'd be insanely fun with MP9 just being looked back as that "really bad one." Mario Party games almost always had some sort of gimmick or something to set it apart from the others, so why couldn't this be MP10's. Mario Party: Brand new game with lots of unintentionally exclusive features. Mario Party 2: Everyone wears costumes based off the board and creates most of the gameplay mechanics that'll become stables in the series. Mario Party 3: The game takes place inside a popup book (although the maps don't really reflect this) and the Unlockable Characters mechanic is introduced into the series. Mario Party 4: The main theme is that it's the player's birthday and all the maps & mini-games are basically inside presents or boxes (not a huge thing, but a nice touch once you notice it). Mario Party 5: Every map is a Dream world, and introduces the Red, Green & Blue Koopa Kids for Single Player mode. Mario Party 6: Constantly switch between Nighttime & Daytime with most mini-game rules being flipped around each time. Mario Party 7: You're traveling across the globe to various locations and can have 4 teams of 2 resulting in 8-Player games. Mario Party 8: All the items are candy, and you've got motion controls because it's an early Wii game. Mario Party 9: The stupid cart mechanic that practically every Mario Party Fan hates and the main game functions completely different from all the past games in the series. And then there's Mario Party 10: One of the modes let's a 5th person play as Bowser and the other 4 work together to get to the star before Bowser catches them. The other is a sequel to Mario Party 9 and the last one requires amiibos. I'm all up for multiple game modes, infact it's been done before with MP7 having the option of 8-Player games, but Bowser Party feels so incomplete and kind of last minute to be hones. Would've gladly accepted only having Bowser Party, in fact that was the impression I got from the trailers! D:
Honestly the Bowser mode could work if some of the mini game were more fairer to the 4 players. Like I never seen anyone beat Bowser's clawful climb without getting hit once.

Sticker Star had overly cryptic puzzles, no incentives to fight, awful boss battles, bad story, no creative locations, annoying levels, and nothing that made the previous games good. The only thing it had was it's music.
All your opinion. Personally if felt the puzzles while critic were a blast to solve, the fighting was fun and kinda intense, the boss battles were joefully silly, the locations weren't really any less creative than most main stream Mario titles, and I don't really care if it had anything else from the rest of the series. Since none of the paper games really fit in with each other the same way most Mario titles don't, there is t really a reason to compare them. Each one does something new for the series and that's the fun of buying a new game. There isn't that much to really hate on because because the game wasn't fundamentally broken in anyway, it's just not what you wanted it to be and that's why you feel that it was a disappoint meant, besides the fact you were comparing it to other games to truly enjoy a game for what it is you have to leave preconceptions from other games at the door and take it for what it is by itself. Example: Kid Icarus uprising is a great game by itself (something most people agree on) but if you expect it to be like the original kid Icarus, a vertical scrolling survival shooter, your gonna be disappointed. You can expect a game to always be like its predecessor because then you can never form a opinion about only the game, you will constantly be comparing it and then your opinion is about this game as it is based on this game.
They did in Mario Party Star Rush. I honestly think Star Rush is pretty good compared to the previous few Mario Parties, even if it doesn't follow the old formula.
There's no need to get rid of the car. Just bring back the old format and touch up the new one and have them be seperate modes. Some people like the car.

I'm with you, Bowser Party is the only reason to get Mario Party 10. You can easily torture the ai players with the right custom level in Smash Bros Brawl and/or Smash 4
5:30 that's actually not disgusting. That's how video games typically use the RNG. It'd be way too difficult for a game to have it calculate the random number as soon as an action happens, so what games would do is roll the Random Number Generator at the start. That way, the game already knows the outcome when certain actions are taken. Another example of this is the Toad houses in SMB3. Though those houses create the illusion that each treasure chest has a different item in it, the game actually runs the RNG before you open a chest so that it knows which one item you are going to get (mushroom, fire flower, or super leaf) when you open a chest. Therefore, there is no reason to choose one chest over another since all three produce the same item.
I love this mode just for the chaos. I think it's actually easy to accept a loss as either side because of that. Although I do have some memories of the times I've won as Team Mario

Runaway Guys? Does anyone notice about the Dice Block (the normal one)? The Dice Block in the Mario Party series (since Mario Party 9) only moves 1-6. It no longer moves 1-10. So there is no more getting an 8-10 anymore.

Man, both NdCube and Nintendo should’ve thought of a more creative way to use the (what was at the time) new cart mechanic if the maps weren’t so linear and only goes in a straight line. Why couldn’t they make it like the Mario Party 5 game mode, where they all drive cars on a circuit or a racetrack? That would fit the vibe a lot better than what they went. Speaking of, how about shortcuts or long cuts, hazards, etc. to capture the feeling of driving like in Mario Kart? How about the car going through a certain amount of laps or a certain amount of turns? Why hadn’t they thought of that up when creating this mechanic? Instead, they went with a very barebones route.

Speaking of, how about shortcuts or long cuts, hazards, etc. to capture the feeling of driving like in Mario Kart? How about the car going through a certain amount of laps or a certain amount of turns?
Why hadn’t they thought of that up when creating this mechanic? Instead, they went with a very barebones route.
I’m gonna be brutally honest, I actually quite like Mario Party 9 because of my nostalgia (one of the first video games I played)
