ERRATA When determining how many dice you can roll, a leader also counts as a military unit and can add dice. In the sample battle, when Geoffrey of Brittany has 2 military units under his control he can actually roll 3 dice. In the previous part of the example the intrinsic strength of the leaders does not matter because the number of dice is based on skill, but with the reduced army it does count.

So I started playing my copy of WOG and all was going good , a couple of turns saw sieges and no battles. Then i get to my 1st battle and BANG ! What the . . . ? Was late at night so I was not comprehending the battle procedure, figured the heck with this till the next day. Well next day was no better, totally confused about the procedure. So I figure let's go see if Marco can help and WA-LAA all easily explained. Now on with my game. Invaluable 👍!
Hi Marco! What do you think of Warriors of Japan? I like the progression of the leaders in WoG, but I don't know if it's still in WoJ (no online rulebook yet for WoJ, I think). Heard that WoJ has a simpler ruleset, so I'm looking to introduce it to the wife. Thanks!
Glad I found this vid. Just couldn't clearly focus when reading rules. My head is so in lockstep with "typical ww2" games, that when something different comes up, my OLD brain spits back memory full. Lol. Decided to put aside for the moment n go to The Battle of the River Plate. Will be coming back to W. Of G. for sure now. Thanks immensely. Love your vids always helpful.
Don't ask about the two DG games☹️. Playing WOG right now. First two turns stay away from combat to get my self straight on the majority of rules. Now I have to watch your video again....combat still tad not clear, I think....it's all good....
