As a Nana who has raised a grandson, I totally agree!! My son had a baby at 15. My grandson was born 3 months preemie. My son is now 32, my grandson 17. Now, I would not change a single moment and I have been so blessed to raise my grandson!! He’s a great kid and my son grew so well into the role of Dad, (notice I said grew). He has a great relationship with his son, they’re best buds and I know my grandson talks to his Dad about everything. Having said all that now, there is a reason teenagers shouldn’t have kids and a big one is because usually a grandparent or other family member, or the foster care system ends up raising them.

My friends baby had diaper rash cream all over his face and she was afraid he ingested some so she called poison control immediately. He ended up being absolutely fine but she mentioned that after the fact she wished she would have taken a picture because he was covered. However, she was more worried about his safety than a picture. My point being, who takes a picture of their kid covered in blood?!?!?!

We have a corner in the house that we have gated off where we keep our cleaning products. It’s back by our washer and drier. Our son grabbed a bottle of spray bleach while my partner was changing the laundry over and maced himself in the face with it. My partner rinsed his eyes while I called poison control. They didn’t answer so I called the doctors office, but sat on hold for forever so I ended up loading our son in the car, had my partner take a picture of both sides of the bottle of bleach and send it to me so I could show the doctor. The doctor said he was fine and his eyes/vision shouldn’t be affected in any way. Didn’t document a second of it. You spring into action. Accidents happen, but make it right by taking care of your kid.

Not only did I have to grow up overnight to be someone's mother, I also had to face dealing with doctors and surgeons. I’m almost 30, but my second child was born when I was 27. He was born with a heart defect that we didn’t know about until he was 24 hours old. The first month of his life was spent in the PCICU and he had open heart surgery at a week old. We’ve had to deal with the after effects of the defect and hospital stay since, even to this day. Honestly, after the initial shock, my husband and I even surprised ourselves with how well we handled the situation, but it wasn’t easy and still isn’t. I could *not* imagine being mentally and emotionally able to handle such a situation at the age of 17. My heart goes out to you and I give you kudos. Becoming a parent requires you to grow up, but it doesn’t *make* you grow up. Having a child born with defects or disorders *makes* you grow up instantly. You don’t have a choice. She ran over his leg. He had all toes and part of foot, removed. Could have lost more to infection. They then did not take him to PT. Years later, he had problems walking cause he had no PT. All these kids are going to grow and act out. The parents will be so clueless. Can you imagine what middle school will be like for these kids? To have your whole life on splashed on internet. I didn’t take him to the ED because of how small the wound was, I thought it would only take one stitch, maybe two at most. I admit we joined an amazing church and were supported by a loving community, but my kids are some of the best people I know today. I agree that being a teen parent isn't ideal. I would not want that for my own kids because it is so hard. However, I do think life is what you make it. Some teen parents do the responsible thing and go on to become great parents. You'd never say "Aw, you're okay!" or try to make it seem like nothing happened. You'd probably ask: "Oh, are you hurt, I'm sorry that happened to you" or something along those lines. I don't know why so many people belittle their kids and make them feel like their feelings are invalid. Give them a hug, put a plaster on, and they will be okay.

He puts the kids in situations that are not age appropriate and uses no safety measures. He used to take this boy when he was a toddler on an electric skateboard zipping down the street and to make it worse refused to put a helmet on him. I've seen the 2 yr old baby girl go underwater in a hot tub and thankfully he pulled her up in time and have also see him walk away from her while he left her on a trampoline on cement and she fell off of it. Countless accidents with the kids and he's always soooo sorry. You are so right. He's a child ..with no sense of safety for his children, especially toddlers and yes he never pays attention or watches them.

As a mom and an RN, I’m beyond pissed right now. There is no comforting happening. No hugs. No reassuring the child. Just blowing it off, telling him he looks “awesome”, playing it down by telling him “it was just an accident”. ZERO validation of his feelings here. I agree that parents sometimes laugh or downplay injuries to keep the child calm. I did that myself. But you better believe that kid was on my lap, getting hugs, being told that I was so sorry that they were injured and felt scared. Then YOU CLEAN THEM UP!! Cover it with bandages, make sure they don’t get infections. Oh. Em. Gee.
The LAST thing I would EVER think to do… film it. Never. Later in the day, maybe the next day, you can take pictures, tell them how tough they are, reassure them that scars are stories. But not in that moment. Poor baby is going to remember that his parents never comforted him when he needed it. I get that these are young parents, but I babysat starting when I was 11 and at that age I knew to cuddle and comfort a hurt child. I worry about the future mental health and emotional outcome for these children due this style of neglectful parenting.

I'm so friggin crazy right now !!!! I was a teen mom 16 😫 1980 not at all recommend!!
I was alone no parents, no partner, no friends... Scared beyond. I read alot every book I found at the library... its all I could think of to help.... I had one of the most terrific accident with her she was 2 I was ironing a shirt on the kitchen table, she reached up grabbed the cord an pulled so fast it landed hot side down on her arm, I flew her to the sink turned cold water on , wrapped her in a towel drove 4 minutes to the hospital.. I was questioned FPS came , of course things were unfounded. But it was very scary.
    Young woman need a village....
Years later a marriage 37 years 5 more children lots of life lessons.. That baby is now 41 years old had her own baby at 18 , I've been by her side for every thing to help , guide, support never would be any other way.. So my question is where the Hell is the Mother's to these young parents... The very first time one of my grandchildren got hurt Id be screaming at my daughter to get that baby to a hospital !!!! I'm so sorry I really want to call DHS this is neglect 🤬
Because its all about the clicks and views 😤😭

Drones are dangerous AF! and the fact that a PARENT did this...is just sad. They don't seem to think things through... then seem to just think "its ok".. YAH! THIS TIME!!

    KBandBaby next!!!!!!
    Katie and Ben Gonzales.
    From Colorado.
    Two toddler daughters.
Barely teen parents. Katie had their first daughter right before turning 20.
Major child injury and ER visit clickbait!!!!!!
Their currently building a $500,000+ house and all Katie has done throughout the process is complain about not getting everything she wants. They are going through a neighborhood builder so there are many restrictions of options they can choose. They were aware of this from the start! So entitled and out of touch!!

I was a teen mom and yes we always had big toys but not because of me, it was my ex husband. His dad had big toys for him, my ex has always bought ATVs, 4x4s, boats, jet skis, etc. So now my kids are older and feel like they need big toys to be entertained. I kind of hate it. Some people never grow up.

He sounds like he is trying to lay the remorse on thick for the camera but that he almost knew how dangerous it was and did it for content then it went worse than expected.

A few inches higher and that shit could've blinded this kid. He'd have one eye left. One eye.
I'm blind in one eye. It's not fun. It means zero depth perception. it means the world looks like Paper Mario.

Yes. My eyes aren't the same, and my depth perception is very poor. I've always been this way, but I realize 3D must be far better.
