- On the 8th day I started seeing the first signs counting down the km to the North Cape. It was really warm for this region, in fact so warm that the reindeer had to take shelter inside of the tunnels from the warmth.

Sorry for the long delay of getting this episode out. I'll try gettin the final two videos out over the next couple of weeks. Thank you for your patience.
Hi Mike, loving the videos of this trip. No hurry, but are you still planning to put out the final 2 videos of the series? My wife and I visited the North Cape a few months back, so we're keen to see the final couple of days.
No worries about the uploading pressure! I enjoy seeing a part of the world I may never get to cycle due to not being a millionaire, so I appreciate your efforts. Thankyou.
Another great "anti-stress" video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you, Mike, for your wonderful videos. You're in the best tradition of Darren Alff! All the best for you and greetings from Germany.
Thank you! That's a compliment I'll gladly take any day of the week.
Always a pleasure to see your videos. Take your time and release them when you can. Us viewers will wait
Thank you for your patience. I promise that I will release videos more regularly in the coming weeks. I've got a lot of videos in the pipeline.
@@BikeTouringMike Looking forward to many more videos from you
Thanks Mike, though we already know the outcome of course, it's still a nice treat to see your videos.see you later😊
Such a beautiful country with breathtaking scenery. Thanks for taking us along and for all the work and time you put into making these excellent touring videos. Much appreciated!
Many thanks - great to see the continuation of the adventure - and it’s over country that I recognize
The sign even said , Hammerfest, at the beginning of the climb . Kind of an omen !
Hi Mike! Great to see this video! I cycled from Rotterdam to the Northcape the last sic weeks! I recognise a lot of your footage. I also have had the privilege of cycling with people I've met on the way. I call them my cycling family❤.
You have been a great inspiration for the last year in my preparation for this epic journey! Takk!
Thank you Mike, really nice video. Very beautiful sceneries, interesting comments.
Your videos are a joy mike, I hope to be able to follow in your shoes on these beautiful roads 👍🇮🇪
Thank you John! Hope you'll get to ride this route soon.
Came across your adventures via Ryan Van Duzer channel. Delighted I did! Thanks for sharing your wonderful journeys ❤
Glad you enjoyed the video. Welcome to the channel!
Thank you, dear, Mike, for taking us with you, on your amazing bike touring adventure to the Nordcap! Wishing you all the very best and stay safe and immensely richly blessed!
Thank you!
thanks Mike, Norway is so beautiful, thanks for taking us along for the ride
Thank you Reece! Glad to be able to bring you along.
Great job, Mike 🍀 Cheers from Japan 🕊
Thanks alkoop!
Just watched Ryan van Duzers latest video from Sweden, and guess who jumps off the bus at the end?😊 Looking forward to seeing you two in collaboration!
Yeah, I can't wait for those episodes. We certainly had a great time, just hope it shows in the videos.
Excellent! A great reminder of my Nordkapp trek in 1985. I recall that the ride from Alta to Olderfjord was very open but we were lucky in that there was no headwind. At one point, there was a Sami camp by the side of the road, selling rindeer artifacts to tourists.
Yeah, I noticed that camp. It was still there.
@@BikeTouringMike, amazing! Still there after so many years.
Hej Mikael! I recently found your videos for this trip, after visiting Tromsö and Senja this summer (by car).
I have enjoyed all the episodes for the first 8 days of your trip, but I have not found the video for the last part. Has that video been uploaded? It would be super nice if you created a Playlist for all the videos of this trip, to make it easier for people to know in which order to watch them.🙂 And, I am looking forward to part 3 of your European Divide Trail trip! Tack!
This series is such a treat. Perfect viewing for a rainy Sunday here in the UK. Happy cycling, Mike!
Norway tunnels. Only place i saw a round about in a tunnel. Scary. I think you call them traffic circles? I call them circles of death. 😅
HI Mike. As always a great video. You do such a great job with your narrative and video work. These videos to the North Cape makes me want to throw my gear on the plane and do this trip. Take care.
Beautiful, peaceful countryside !
Great English, Swedish accent ?
Hello Mike
Loving your videos buddy. Do you have a route map off your exactly trip from Lofoten too the north cape? I’m planing on a route from Å til Nordkapp next year.
Best regards Tommy Skau
Hey Mike, amazing video as always! I toured in Sweden for three weeks this summer and have a question. How do you deal with the horse flies terrorising you especially while climbing on sunny days. I felt totally overwhelmed sometimes to a point where there were three or four flying and picking on me which was terrible. Thanks!
Yeah, they're horrible. Makes me long for mosquitoes again. The only comfort I can think of with horseflies is that they're often very local. I can't think of one day on a bike tour where they've been present during a whole or even a half day, while if you're unlucky you can encounter mosquitoes for days.
Was that Bifröst at 6:32?
Mike, what is the maximum road speed limit that you feel safe going on with your touring bike?
And, how do you know which roads you are allowed to go and which aren't allowed if there are no signs?!
Mike do you use wax for chain?
No, I just use dry lube.
Found you while watching Ryan Van Duzer. I enjoyed your video. I'll be watching more! Be well! 🚵♂
Glad you enjoyed following along and welcome to the channel!
