Two more items to add to your list: The first is a bottle or two of water. Guests may need a drink, sometimes in the middle of the night, and not know where to get one or feel awkward asking. The other is to put your WiFi password in a pretty little frame set out on the bedside table or dresser. It’s so much fun surprising guests with unexpected niceties. Great vid as always Lisa!
We just hosted a group family and friends for a baptism weekend in Carmel. We did the gift basket idea filled with a hoodie with our cities name, Monterey, tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a new wrapped bar of soap so that they can have their own and a six pack collection of local micro breweries. They all lost their minds. They were so grateful.
My daughter in law always has a goodie basket for us when we visit. We just love it! She always includes our favorite candies, Tylenol, small creams, bottles of water and linen spray. Outstanding room and daughter in law!
Hosting my in-laws for the first time! We just got a two bedroom apartment & there our first family guests. Got them a customized gift basket of goodies 😍
Solution for small guest room, where no room for a welcome basket because guests use up all flat surfaces for their luggage, tote bags, purses, laptops, cell phones, chargers. So instead of a gift basket, I hung up a new 24 pocket, over-the-door organizer, on hooks on the wall in back of the guest room door. The pockets are clear, so they can see everything easily...such as individually wrapped chocolates, nuts, dried fruit, area maps, notepads+pens, hand sanitizer, small bottles of water /wine, face masks, tissues, perfume, disposable slippers, breath mints, cough drops, sleep masks.
Thank you so much for sharing this great idea! I just created a “pretty guest room” in addition to my more “hotel neutral” guest room. The current room has a queen bed and all the accoutrements Lisa mentioned. The new “pretty “ room is for girls or ladies. Lovely furniture, pretty art, and as super comfy (twin!) bed. Fluffy comforter, all white linens and pretty towels. There’s even a little dog bed in case my mini poodle wants to sleep in your room. But the room is tiny so adding my lace trimmed over- the -door organizer is such a lovely idea. Come stay!
May I suggest that you make a video on multifunctional rooms? My home office is also my guest bedroom and I find it hard to decorate it because I want it cosy/homey for when family and friends come to visit but I also want it clean and professional for my everyday use. It’s quite difficult to do both at the same time, so your tips would be appreciated!
I would add a charging station- or at least easy access to wall socket. No one wants to disturb their host to ask where a socket is or go crawling around the room. Lots of lamps have USB charging, so really make sure you have an Android and an Apple cable on hand.
Guests really enjoy the "Disaster Box", as well as the welcome basket. Our's contains a sewing kit with clear thread, needle already threaded, a lighter, a rain poncho and a bus pass.
Another really great suggestion! You guys are also amazing… I want to come and visit your guest rooms… I can't wait to see some of the surprises I've forgotten to mention! :-)
The light switches....you are so right... I once had an encounter with a cactus in the dark in search of the door... 😂 And everybody hates to bother the host with all the stuff they forgot or suddenly need...I made a kind of a "rescue" basket in my bathroom for situations like that.
Yikes Lylesca! That doesn't sound fun!! 😆🌵 YES, I love the idea on having a basket of different products for my guests that forgot something or want to try something new!! 💁🏼♀️✨✨
This makes my day! I've just spent the last week revitalizing the forbidden zone that was my teenager's cave. He left town to go to College in September. I converted the room into a Guest Room (for him too of course). According to your tips, I did very well! The big edit, deep cleaning, the pristine linens, two options for pillows, extra blanket, cupboard space, happy pegs/hooks, freshly cleaned housecoat, night table and easy lighting, nice towels, and a little basket ... BUT here are two things that I want 'rock star' points for! 1) I upholstered a bench that can be easily moved around and improvised as a bench, coffee table or laptop desk or for snacking (and a tray for that) and 2) An empty storage basket/box with a lid that the Guests can use to contain their valuables. And VOILA, my teenager just arrived for the weekend a few hours ago ... for a 'test run'! Thank you, Lisa! Your timing for this Guest Room Vid just adds to the glory!
I giggled all the way through this video. Your tips were spot on, but all I could think about is the advice my father gave me when I bought my first home..."Don't ever make your guestroom too comfortable. You will regret it as your guests will never want to leave" Boy was he right! Oh well, lesson learned the hard way. lol.
Lisa I worked in luxury Hospitaly for a number of years . I just finished two guest room and viola .. I have comfort , white linens , plush white towels , white robes , water carafe next to bed and a little crystal jar of delicious gummy bears 🥰glad your advice is much like my own personal taste . Thank you
It's a sure thing with Lisa, she's definitely the hostess with the mostess. A designer who makes our world finer. A self given saint who teaches us how to pick the right paint. The lady with her own grove, with a great channel on TH-cam ! Love ya 💕
I love, love, LOVE this one! My new daughter-in-law will be visiting with my son this holiday season and I really want her to feel welcome. As you went down your list, I thought, yup, that would make me feel welcome but I hadn't thought of them especially the BASKET! Now I'm really excited for the visit instead of nervous. I can't wait!
Aww this just warms my heart Holly!! 🥰🥰 I am SO glad these tips helped relieve some of the stress about impressing your kiddos for when they come home!!! That basket is going to take it over the top!!! 🤩 Thank you so much for this comment, I LOVE reading the excitement you guys feel after watching these!!! 💕❤️✨
I add more PLUGS! I put a couple of power strips (one hidden by the bed and one by the dresser) because it seems there are never enough, especially with all our devices we use now. I also put an over-the-closet-door framed full length MIRROR which is near the power strip by the dresser. I'm constantly staying in hotels obviously designed by a man and NOT Lisa...the mirror in the room (where I style my hair while the shower is being used and adding humidity to the bathroom mirror area) is NEVER near the outlet I need for my styling tools.
I've been using welcome baskets for the last decade and our guests love it. I put their names on it and a welcome message. My 11-year-old has started to help with them now which is so sweet to see her write the welcome messages!
OMG! They will never leave! Haha. (So do the opposite when you don't want them staying long!) I loved this. I do all that except for the hooks so they can hang things. My welcome basket does not look nearly as good as this but I love it!
This is fabulous. the idea of the disaster basket is a very good one! I have always used a kind of gift but not as complex as these, and I got lots of good ideas. Another item I add is slippers because my house is "shoe free." I use a carafe for water because, plastic.
Yes! Thank you! Sometimes on ID vlogs, even yours, I feel like I'm not doing enough correctly. This one was a great encouragement that I've got at least my guest room nailed! All I'm missing is the robe(s). One thing I've learned from experience is that some guests either look for, or at least notice, labels. And it's never who you'd think. You can find Ralph Lauren (even Nautica) sheets at Marshall's or on clearance at Dillard's, et al, or an outlet mall for less than a Better Homes & Gardens (Walmart) set. I've gotten sets for as low as $10; cheaper than my gift basket! (The last time I checked, that's also less than getting them professionally cleaned and pressed.) Then, keep them - unopened - just for when company comes. If, like me, you only had guests once or twice a year even before Covid anyway, those sheets become YOUR new sheets after guests leave. Or maybe for when it's your parents who, hopefully, aren't "those" guests. Same story for Label brand towels, except they still look new after washing. You're the best!
Doug!! It makes me so happy knowing that this video had inspire you, I never want someone to come onto my channel thinking what they are doing is never enough!! 😢 There's ALWAYS something that could be improved, but it shouldn't be a rush, you know???? 💙💙 I LOVE this tip with the linens though, there are so many places that have super nice labels for a FRACTION of the cost!!! 🤩🙌🏼 Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts about this!! 🥰💖💕
Well now.....I do all the things for my guests other than the bathrobes.....and I do Airbnb and VRBO for my Casita. You are correct-a-mondo! Amen Sista!
We hosted a Japanese student for 2 weeks and we provided a welcome basket. We put a plush koala, fuzzy slippers, cookies etc. She was thrilled. It was such a lovely way to welcome a very shy young person who was clearly nervous.
You're sharing so many great tips Raymond, I LOVE it!!! 😍👏🏼 Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and fun tips, I will take any opportunity to have a nice staycation!!! 😇
Most important consideration for house guests: privacy - theirs and yours! I have a guest bedroom on the same floor as the principal bedroom, and another on the ground floor. Both have ensuites. The guest room on the ground floor is adjacent to a reception room that includes a servery that offers a fridge, freezer (as drawers), microwave, dishwasher, and dishware and cutlery. When guests are expected to stay there, I bring out the kettle, coffee maker and toaster. I provide tea, coffee pods, bread, butter, jam, cheese, granola, some fresh fruit, orange juice, milk and cream, and, maybe, some fresh hard-boiled eggs. That way, my guests don’t have to wait for me to feed them, and they can enjoy their breakfast in solitude in the reception room (with fireplace), or just outside the door on our covered patio, overlooking the back yard and pool. There is even a stacked washer/dryer in a cabana bathroom on that floor for their use, if desired. This alleviates the risk of “too much togetherness” that often accompanies house guests.
I agree, the privacy element is a huge consideration. I moonlight as a 'housekeeper' for a house with two Guest Suites. It is similar to the layout you have described. I take care of the 'self-sufficient' things for the Guests that you have described. It feels very good to build in that privacy factor, thank you for adding that!
I don't have a guest room. I have a small craft room and a very small budget. Do have a thick air mattress and some nice sheets. I'm slowly trying to combine these two. Have down sized and miss the extra space. But I'm working on it as I do have company coming. Love your videos and your enthusiasm. Thanks.
I ask my guests/family while they stay to let me know if there is anything I need to add or change to help in their stay. I make a list to get or do if it doesn’t happen while they are here. Then the next time when someone stays it is much better. That’s when I learned about the tissues, fans, and the tub drain that wasn’t draining well.
I look at my guest rooms as if I am going to stay there: is it comfortable, is the light within easy reach when reading in bed, etc etc. Thank you for the tips, I am missing the comfy throw! 😍
My husband, now self employed, used worked at the Waldorf. It’s all white sheets, towels, etc and all cotton at our house to give a resort feel. It’s so easy to clean.
Shortly after moving into our current home, I announced to my husband one night that I was going to go sleep in the guestroom. He thought he was in trouble and asked why. I told him I needed to make sure I'd gotten everything right for future company. 😄
We finally have a guest room with just two kids left at home. I’ve had fun getting it ready for company with just about everything on your list! Glad to know I’m on the right track!
Great tips! I think I need to add hooks. Perfect timing on this video. My sister is coming in two days. Woo Hoo!!! We are like two Lisa Holt’s personalities on caffeine. I can’t wait!!! I just created a new guest space for her yesterday. Our 20 yr old daughter decided to move out a couple of months ago. I had a blank white room to start with. 🙌 We now call it the upper east wing instead of _____’s room. 😆 No more game room/guest room in this house. I would add to the list: *Charging station *Tissues!!! (We live in the allergy belt) *Wastebasket(s) *Reading nook and/or a desk area with a notebook/journal, post it notes, and a sharpie. I also like to give my favorite pens away. Pilot Frixion♥️ They are erasable GEL pens. They do not need a special shedding eraser. They use friction/heat to erase. They are AWESOME!!! *Maybe a small fan and or noise machine -My sister always requests at least one fan. She lives in the north. We live in beautiful warmer Tulsa. 😊 *Clock (I know most of us use our phones, but some like having an easy to see clock in the night and not have to pick up their phone. Maybe a wall clock as art. 🤷♀️) Oh, and maybe one I’m the bathroom Speaking of the bathroom-if it is shared: *counter space *drawer space *place to hang their towels *space in shower for shampoo etc. *blow dryer *maybe an iron or a small steamer *double check to make sure there is enough TP!!! *even though it is ugly a plunger is handy. It saves them the embarrassment of asking. We’ve had this happen. Of course clean it thoroughly and then some!!! Maybe even use it yourself just to see if there is something one can add or remove. Ooooh, I think I need to get a make up mirror for guests. 💡 🤳 🪞 (My guest share the bathroom with my kid(s) It’s not ideal, but only my family comes to visits.)
Elaine!! I am LOVING all your candid thoughts about this topic - Great additions too!!!! 😍😍 I am sure your sister is never going to leave after visiting your place, you have everything covered down to the makeup mirror!!! LOL!! 😆👏🏼 Thank you so much for watching and sharing, I hope you have the best time with your sister coming into town!!! 🥰💕✨✨
@@LisaHoltDesign She left this morning and we had a WONDERFUL time. Her guest suite was perfect 👌 she said. Thank you for the video and “groovy” reply! 😉 🥰 She will be returning for our mom’s 100th birthday, January 1st. 🎂 I’m her caregiver in my home, so yes, I will be hosting. ♥️
Lisa when I was in my Color Theory class we talked about the Bezold effect. We were all joking that was a great way to paint a “special guest room” so that guests wouldn’t want to stay 😆 Kidding aside, great tips! A lot of nice details to make a guest feel welcomed and comfortable 🥰
Katherine and Lisa: about 35 years ago, while on business in northern Ontario, I spent two nights in a motel room that was “decorated” entirely in orange: orange walls; orange shag rug; orange bedspread; orange curtains. All the identical colour of orange. To call my huband, I had to take the telephone into the (white) bathroom just to escape from the glare! I doubt the room has been redecorated. Needless to say, I never rebooked.
LITERALLY in the middle of cleaning and preparing my guest bedroom for our first guests post Covid19 lockdown right now. Thought I'd stop and take a breather as was starting to sweat! These are great tips and pretty much all of them I do. The one I haven't done is the hooks on the walls for some of their clothes. Brilliant idea and will endeavour to get this done before the Christmas "stay-overs" start. Many thanks
Talk about perfect timing Beverley!!! 👏🏼 I know a lot of you guys are going to have family and friends come for the holidays so I wanted to make you guys prep a little bit before all the holiday stress hits!!! 🤯😅 Thank you so much for watching!! 💜
Nice to see you. I watched a tutorial a couple of years ago that was similar. I started doing a sundries assortment basket and a basket of decanted snacks, and water of course. I also put a fresh flowers in the Waterford vase I bought at their factory in Ireland. That always makes a fun story. I bought it 30 years ago. Lol. It was always a hit. The first time my daughter came to visit from Boca, she fell in love with the concept. She started using it whenever she had guests in her second master suite. She added some personalized coffee mugs too. I use my Cricut to make a welcome Gloria and Jorge, or whomever is staying. I’m retired, so I get to do the fun stuff. You really hit the proverbial nail with this video.
Great suggestions Lisa! My recent guests really appreciated the hooks for jackets and purses. I added a folding luggage rack and they loved that too. I hadn’t thought about robes but I think I’ll add that next. No one wants to pack a nice fluffy robe.
I like to put a couple gift certificates to the local restaurants/shops in the basket too. As much as they enjoy our company, it’s fun to get out and explore on their own too. Great video! 🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lighting tip: Plug bedside lamps into remote plug into the wall outlet. Operates with small remote control switch placed on the night stand. I have these in all bedrooms. Available on Amazon.
I have this at home too, it's really handy so you don't have to get up and switch off all the lights one by one when you're ready to sleep. Trådfri plugs, lightbulbs and remotes at IKEA works great for this.
I hit all the points for my last guest, but the robe. Then was treated like a hotelier for their stay. 🙄Lucky for me they checked out early! 🤣 These are great tips and spot on. Get ready for those holiday guests in style.
Great video. Living out of a suitcase is horrible when visiting! You hit all the comforts that I like to have to my guests. I did add a reading lamp with a USB on the base. I realized that when my daughter started running wires all over the place on the guest room! Fabulous video has always. Need to get on to your your new design club. 😍
Veronica!!! A lot of you guys are saying easier charging accessibility and I TOTALLY agree - especially with all the tech everyone carries around these days!!! 🤓 What a nifty solution to have a USB on the base of the lamp!!! Super cute!! 👍🏼💚😊
I always leave a little spa kit ( high end face mask, water, etc for my favorite ladies. I also collect all of the luxe minis from boujie hotels and provide a set just like your hotel would. Guests love it!
Surface space and accessible outlets are important. Better yet, have a charging area. An index card with the Wi-Fi password. I also put a nightlight in the guest bathroom
Perfect ideas that I always incorporate… even when my adult kids visit. To my surprise.. I’ve heard them say “Moms house is like coming home, only with the best B&B feel. Makes my heart sing as a mom/grandma. Doesn’t hurt that I decorate per season and cook all their favs. Hey..?.. where do I stay for these min va-ca’s?..?
I'm babysitting my grandsons this weekend and may not make the premiere live chat but this sounds like another stellar video and I'm excited to see it!
So true! It takes a certain degree of imagination and vision. The minimum for me is a decent small mattress, basic sleeping bag, pillow and towel at the ready. These can be just as good as a whole room ... and as appreciated as much. Sigh.
Darn it! I missed the premiere this morning, but I rushed to get my coffee and watch it! Such great tips for a guest room! But yes, I must first declutter. I has become a catch all for everything I don't have a place for!! Oh, and your hair looks great and as always love the jewels and glasses!
OH, you are so sweet! I looked a tad windblown, but there you have it! And, I'm adding some of my fun bracelets into the club for Christmas in the store!
R!!! I am so glad you were still able to watch this morning!!! 🥰☕️ Time to edit edit edit out that room, it's going to make such a difference! 🤩 Thank you so much for watching and for all the sweet words!! ❤️
Oh, yea! That's exciting! I'll definitely check it out! What time do ya think you'll be here to help me declutter that guest room!? 😉There will be snacks!! Haha!
I have a wall shelf in mine I have different types of things in it phone charges little mirror , mask to sleep, ect : I’ve always had fun setting up My guest room
I converted to all-white sheets and towels in my home and it makes everything so much easier (my rooms all have a light color on the walls, not white, and white trim). They look cleaner because they are, they can be bleached as needed. I also switched to white trim, and electrical fittings like plugs and switch covers because it drove me nuts with every room having different ones to have to match.
Me too! So annoying to stay with someone, visit with them after arrival then settle in for the night and realize I want to access emails etc only to not have the wifi password.
This Tip is more about function rather than style. If your outlets are buried behind the bed or dresser like mine, get an extension cord and run it up behind the nightstand so they can plug in those electronics to charge while they sleep.
Great tips! Adding more hooks! Love that idea! I also have bottled water, an espresso coffee maker with coffee pods and tea bags, and a micro mini fridge with sparking water in the closet shelving until (with all the cups, glasses and set ups) along with some snacks. Essential oils and mister, universal mobile phone charging station and relaxation scented candles. Had to laugh, you said, "even if it's your kids sister." Um, that would be your daughter. HAHA
Ohhh I wanna come over to your guest room!!! 😍 Coffee machine?? AND a mini fridge??!?! I would be in heaven vacationing there!!! And OMG that "kids sister" comment totally flew by me!!!! 😆😆💖
Yasss, Lisa! I guests properly staying for the first time in the summer and helped jog my brain as I start slowly preparing! Lighting ...duh...oops 🙄🤣. This is so helpful !!❤️

I use a carafe and glass. If you really want to simplify the wifi password, get an NFC tag. They are like 30 cents.
The water bottle is a must!!!
It’s like an Airbnb
@@od2437 was thinking the same… have other ppl been host ppl who are not comfortable to ask for water?
I always include a vase of fresh flowers on the night stand
My tip: sleep in your own guest room to see how it actually works…🤞
And use the bathroom they will use. 👍
Yes 👏🏼
Definitely yes. A must tip. Thank u.
I do when my husband is snoring. It needs a nice, large rug for a warmer feeling. 😊

Agree.
Love it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 only for my in laws 😉

If it's too nice they will never leave 🙄🙄🙄🤦

I totally agree!
I think she also forgot tissues, maybe a small plant, a reading nook, and what to do in the bathroom space for them as well.
Yess charging accessibility is super important!!! 🙌🏼 Bonus brownie points if they are convenient but not too distracting!!! 🤗💞

Excellent idea!
I would actually add a mini container of advil & tylenol, and maybe a sachet of pedialyte if the night included imbibing.
@@yeeaahhzz I was thinking the same thing as I am prepping for my sister.

😂😂😂. I’m sorry about laughing but it sounds like something you’d see in a sitcom.

I've been using welcome baskets for the last decade and our guests love it. I put their names on it and a welcome message. My 11-year-old has started to help with them now which is so sweet to see her write the welcome messages!
... and the mother in law will never leave again!! 😒 just kidding!! Thanks for the great tips, Lisa!! 🥰🥰
Fresh flowers also go a long way.
Thanks for another lovely video. 😊
Yes!!! Love picking up some fresh flowers to welcome guests as well!! 👏🏼💕💐
Love this video! Thank you! I also have 2 nice luggage racks I can put out for guests. People always tell me how much they love having a luggage rack!
Such a great addition to the closet Kristin!!! Thank you so much for watching!! 😇💗💗
Christopher Lowell is awesome 😎👍🏻
OMG! They will never leave! Haha. (So do the opposite when you don't want them staying long!)
I loved this. I do all that except for the hooks so they can hang things. My welcome basket does not look nearly as good as this but I love it!
Lisa you are so much fun. These are great ideas!!!
Glad you liked them Tracey!! 🤩 Thank you so much for watching!! 💜✨
When you impress the pants off your guests, that's where the bathrobes come in handy! ☺️
Exactly Gregory!!! 😉🤪
This is fabulous. the idea of the disaster basket is a very good one! I have always used a kind of gift but not as complex as these, and I got lots of good ideas. Another item I add is slippers because my house is "shoe free." I use a carafe for water because, plastic.
I worked in several hotels & agree with you 💯‼️
Yes!
your hair looks good
I added a luggage rack because I appreciate having one when I visit.
Well now.....I do all the things for my guests other than the bathrobes.....and I do Airbnb and VRBO for my Casita. You are correct-a-mondo! Amen Sista!
Yayy I am glad I hit all the tips to successfully host!!! I am Airbnb and VRBO host approved!!! 🥳🙌🏼💙
We hosted a Japanese student for 2 weeks and we provided a welcome basket. We put a plush koala, fuzzy slippers, cookies etc. She was thrilled. It was such a lovely way to welcome a very shy young person who was clearly nervous.
Another tip a friend taught me was to take a vacation in your own house and stay in the guest room a couple of nights and use the guest bathroom.
"Too much togetherness" you hit the nail on the head. That is a recipe for an introvert hangover.
Totally agree. Privacy is key to comfort.
How do you ever get them to leave? (JK, sounds lovely 😉)
Elmer Befuddled: make sure they have return tickets!
Such great questions to ask about your guest room Victoria!!! Maybe even stay in there for a night to feel what it's actually like!!! 🤗💚
How about a small vase of fresh flowers also a nightlight in case they get up at night
Yes Maryanne!!! Such great tips, I love me a great bouquet of fresh flowers!!! 💐🥰
Ooh …will love this one✈️🛏✏️🧡.
Adding some of these tips for my own minimalist bedroom- thinking we need some of these comforts!
I love your energy! Haha addicted to these videos
💖💖💖💖💖
Great info, you are just wonderful.
Thank you
🤗🤗🤗🤗
You are SO welcome!!! 🙌🏼 Thanks for watching!! 😘💖
Lisa, you are absolutely amazing! I love watching your videos, your energy is inspiting, motivating and energising. Keep it up girl 💗
You are too kind Agnieszka, THANK YOU!!! 😘😘😘😘 You guys are always making my days with these sweet comments!! 🥰💕
I would add to the list:
*Charging station
*Tissues!!! (We live in the allergy belt)
*Wastebasket(s)
*Reading nook and/or a desk area with a notebook/journal, post it notes, and a sharpie.
*Clock (I know most of us use our phones, but some like having an easy to see clock in the night and not have to pick up their phone. Maybe a wall clock as art. 🤷♀️)
Oh, and maybe one I’m the bathroom
Speaking of the bathroom-if it is shared:
*counter space
*drawer space
*place to hang their towels
*space in shower for shampoo etc.
*blow dryer
*maybe an iron or a small steamer
*double check to make sure there is enough TP!!!
(My guest share the bathroom with my kid(s) It’s not ideal, but only my family comes to visits.)
She will be returning for our mom’s 100th birthday, January 1st.
Ha ha! Yes, another way is to make it all bright orange… They won't sleep a wink and leave the next day! :-)

@Lois, the funny part is that 35 yrs ago that was probably the style. Ok, maybe more like 55 yrs ago. 🤣🤣🤣
Love the welcome pack - great way to say stay a while
Thanks 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yayy glad you enjoyed these fun tips Jackie!!! 🤗 Thank you so much for watching!! 💕❤️
Thanks for the great info.. you re so right. Always enjoy all your designs.
Yayaya this makes me so happy Gloria!!! 🤩 Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for tuning in!! 💙😇
Sounds like you are on the right track Donna!!! Amazing to hear!! 😇👏🏼 The robe will add a nice touch to all the other amenities you got covered!!
As always, Lisa, I am so excited to watch this! Thanks so much! 😘🙌🏻❤️
Lisa great glasses as always🌷
Aww thank you Lw!!! 🥰😘
Hey Lisa🎉🙋♀️ sweet fun important ideas for yr guest room. Awesome🥳
Yayyy glad you enjoyed this Tutone!!! 💕❤️
This is gonna be good one!
I like to put a couple gift certificates to the local restaurants/shops in the basket too. As much as they enjoy our company, it’s fun to get out and explore on their own too. Great video! 🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great tip Denise!! Especially if your guests are new to the area and unfamiliar with the best spots around!! 🥰🌟🧡🧡
Lighting tip: Plug bedside lamps into remote plug into the wall outlet. Operates with small remote control switch placed on the night stand. I have these in all bedrooms. Available on Amazon.
Ooo I love this J M!!! So convenient!
J.M. can you link it from Amazon?
I have this at home too, it's really handy so you don't have to get up and switch off all the lights one by one when you're ready to sleep. Trådfri plugs, lightbulbs and remotes at IKEA works great for this.
I hit all the points for my last guest, but the robe. Then was treated like a hotelier for their stay. 🙄Lucky for me they checked out early! 🤣 These are great tips and spot on. Get ready for those holiday guests in style.
Another SUPERB video!! Well, done! I can't wait to get started in my guest house!!! :) Thank you for the helpful tips!
Yayyy glad this was helpful Kerry!!! Thank you for all the love!!! 😘😘😘
So need to declutter! Thanks for he inspiration.
Espe, You can do it!
Loved the welcome basket and the robes idea! I love these tips LISA!!! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. LOVE from Argentina!
Yippeeee glad you loved these tips!!! 👏🏼🤗 Such great ways to make your guests feel comfy and welcomed!!💕💕💕
Great tip, Hefty!! Maybe I should be your guest! 🤣
Surface space and accessible outlets are important. Better yet, have a charging area. An index card with the Wi-Fi password. I also put a nightlight in the guest bathroom
The WiFi password is SUPER KEY!!!! 👍🏼
Guestroom - shmestroom ! I want those bedrooms!
I'm babysitting my grandsons this weekend and may not make the premiere live chat but this sounds like another stellar video and I'm excited to see it!
Oh no! Well, I’ll chat with you next time, then! Have fun with your family!
Hey, Ann! Enjoy your time with the young 'uns!
Tuning in intently like I have a guest bedroom 👁👄👁
I know! I don't have one, either!
I know, I don't even have a bedroom myself! But these are still great tips, even when your guests sleep on a foldable/inflatable floor mattress.
Haha!
I have a wall shelf in mine I have different types of things in it phone charges little mirror , mask to sleep, ect : I’ve always had fun setting up
My guest room
Power strip is a must have in a guest room for all of the devices!
flowers from the garden, water flask with glasses, Tylenol or Asprin, books, rescue remedy, hand cream and adaptors
Great tip!
Amazing tips, thanks Lisa.
Thank you so much for watching Giovanna!!! 😘😘
Thank you for all the tips!♥️
Thanks for your wisdom!
Thank you!!!
Awesome I love it!!
Yayyy thank you so much for watching Lulu!!! 🥰 Glad you enjoyed it!!!
Great tips! I'm finally moving into a place that will have a guest room and I didn't know what to do with it, but you've given me plenty of ideas.
Glad it was helpful!
I also add a little sign that has the Wi-Fi password.
Yes!
Me too! So annoying to stay with someone, visit with them after arrival then settle in for the night and realize I want to access emails etc only to not have the wifi password.
Great tips for nightly rentals as well.
Yes A A!!! Perfect for Airbnb's!!! 😋
Thank you Lisa!!!❤️
Of course Carol!! Thanks for tuning in!!! 🤗💖
This Tip is more about function rather than style. If your outlets are buried behind the bed or dresser like mine, get an extension cord and run it up behind the nightstand so they can plug in those electronics to charge while they sleep.
White linen all the way 😀
lisa youre a riot…love your comments and great sense of humour😂🥰
Yasss, Lisa! I guests properly staying for the first time in the summer and helped jog my brain as I start slowly preparing! Lighting ...duh...oops 🙄🤣. This is so helpful !!❤️
You got this!
❤️ Love this
Ugh, I hate hotel rooms. I always stay at B&B's that are more personal. Love the idea of the hooks, and the welcome basket!
So nicely said.. Thank you
You're most welcome! thanks for watching!
Love all the tips!
Glad to hear it Alicia!!! Thanks for watching!! 😇💙💙💙
