I’ve always loved a bit of nudity but this is a different kind of getting stripped.

How Low Can You Go
Depression is already taboo, especially when we categorise it under mental health. But what about how bad depression can get, this is really tricky terrotry. Something that has been really hard about this journey is thinking, I must be at the bottom, I’ve never felt so low, so horrendous, I have no strength left and then plummeting further into the depths. As Helen Keller said ‘Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets.’ And I’m the lucky one who had a wise friend ask me if I was as low as you can go, if I was thinking about death. A huge gulp of my pride, and relief of my heart as I admitted she was right. And then shared it with my husband. In real friendship these taboos need to be overcome and people who don’t suffer not afraid or feeling obligations to fix. Just being accepted in the depths is helpful.
