Impressive that they're finally starting to get the pronunciation correct in the UK. She correctly pronounces the name with two syllables and not three. Hyun-DAY is correct (not hi-un-dai). Well done and great review.

Did you notice how opening the older hatch was just as effortless and opened faster than the electric one on the new model?

So there are new ones in the U.K. I have been watching Korean and Australian reviews in anticipation of this arriving. You actually covered what to me is an almost unique selling point - space for a spare wheel. So many cars assume nobody gets a puncture these days. Although it rarely happens the last time it did for me it caused a 3 hour delay while the car was transported to a tyre centre on a recovery vehicle. That happened mid day on a weekday. Imagine getting a bad puncture at 22:00 on a Sunday.
One comment about the video. We know what the old Kona is like. There is a 2019 reg one for £15K in the car dealer next to work if I want to look at one. The new one seems to be a big improvement without anything being worse. I recently watched a review of the Volvo EX30. Lots of people said they were interested until they saw the Tesla like dashboard.

    but shouldn't you be comparing N-line with N-line... that's a bit unfair!

In Australia you don’t need to ‘spec up’ to get the spare wheel. Sure it’s a compact spare but it’s there.

Does the electric booth come with the top automatic spec

As a owner of the mk1 Kona , it was to much of a wait for the mk 2 version, so my next new car is the Kia Ev 😊 Niro

I just looked at the estimated wait times the hybrid in Australia. It’s 5 months. That’s too long.

Niro hybrid in Australia is 10k overpriced, nice car but slow sales due to its price.

@@sachah2400 It is the same with Honda, about $10K over priced for their competing hybrid.

I thibk new car is way over priced
I gpt top spec kona hybrid dec 22 for around 29k which is still expensive for size of car
New top fpec now is aroubd 37k!!!

I guess you are talking about some kind of $. Yes there is bound to be a premium for a brand new model and discounts on the old ones to clear them. I am seeing the same with the Toyota C-HR although it might be 2024 before the new ones are in showrooms.

4355 mm long. If only there was a unit of length that was bigger than a millimeter. 🤷‍♂️

1 major reason why you shouldn't buy a 2024 Kona. The reason is the weak 1.0 T-GDI engine, no hybrid. High consumption of over 11 liters/100 km during a test drive of 20 km around the city. 🤦‍♂
The "older model" Kona drove under 5 liters /100km. ✌👍.
All other engines, especially with hybrid technology, are great for consumption. So for me, only hybrid!
