I like how you start this video. Im at batch 53 and have yet to mess with water chemistry. I just moved from Beersmith to Brewfather and your vids have been helpful.

This is a great video! Your demonstration and explanation really helped get the water chemistry section up and running quickly. Nicely done. I'm migrating from BrewSmith 3 to Brewfather. (Next...I will need help connecting Brewfather to my two Tiltometers! Looks complicated.)

Nice video thanks! Does the Acid Mash number (5.73) show the PH prior to mashing in or what it will drop to when you've added the grains and they have reduced the PH? I'm unsure if adding lactic acid to 5.2 (for example) prior to mashing in will see the PH go down further once the grains are in.

I'm used to using Beersmith and it has a tab for table salt, I notice this does not. so with brewfather it's just calcium chloride, epson salts and gypsum mainly?

One question - Using your easy method of mash only adjustments. Is it adding the calculated additions to the amount of RO water in the Mashtun just before adding the grain?

yeah, I usually mix the salt into the first scoop of grain, then add the acid 10 minutes into the mash after taking a PH reading.

sometimes the pH has been within range, so I've not had to use acid (that's when using RO water, when I use my tap water, then I need to add a lot of acid, but I live in a hard water area, my tap water is best for dark beers and bitters. I use RO for all pale beers)
