I have this product on right now. I tried wetting the product directly as you did (dripping water into it, using a wet sponge, etc) and I found the best way to use it is just with a DAMP sponge. Just soak your beauty blender and squeeze it in a towel as normal, then apply it in thin layers like a powder foundation. It won't provide as much coverage. But it's really beautiful.

Tengo la misma base en polvo solo que en otro tono más claro pero es de mis favoritas , la esponja se humedece poco y así se usa , al menos yo lo hago así no le pongo tanta agua como lo hiciste y cubre hermoso, es de mis bases favoritas tengo piel grasa, y cuando la.uso siempree prgntan que base llevo

You probably need to set it lightly with powder first and then go ing with your powder products. Like you probably need to set it even though it is a powder.

but you mixed water based foundation with a creme, I mean....really? This does not mean the ben nye product is not good, your technique is not correct. You have to consider that those cake foundation are for theatrical makeup, you use it with other water activated product. These are not intended for beauty use
