I’m in the uk. I go with a list and a budget of £30 which is $35 a week for me my 22 year old son and 2 cats. And stay to that budget. Sometimes it’s cheaper with coupons or in store offers. Cheapest I’ve done is £20 which is $25and shop at aldis or Lidl
I like this one Linda. I would probably substitute one box of the Mac & cheese and pick up a can of Aldi's tuna in water and a can of pork and beans. Mixing up weaner and beans alternating with Mac and cheese and hotdogs. Also would grab my eggs elsewhere for a little cheaper and try to get a can of condensed soup. Saving a few pennies on just one loaf of white bread and having tomato sandwiches alternating with grilled cheese sandwiches and soup.
I was able to find eggs for $1.75 for the 18 count and beef smoked sausage for $1 at my local Kroger. So I'm planning to make some red beans and rice for dinner and egg and sausage sandwiches for lunch. I'm not really a breakfast person except for coffee and thanks to ibotta I got a bag of the community coffee for $2 so that'll last me awhile.
welcome back to the YTube - its been a while since i saw a vid from you. awesome job at the meal plan and all the additional suggestions. adding mine - i would make a tomato and mayo sammich a couple times in there, too. YUMMMMMM! (especially since mayo is a pantry staple)
I miss your videos! I’ve been searching for your account the past few days and so happy I found it again! I’m a subbie but you know how things can lost on TH-cam!
Lol.... count your blessings.... no one in my area would be able to eat for $10/wk.. kraft dinner has been cut from my budget all together as it is too expensive( $1.59.. $2.19 for extra creamy)).. even off brand $1.29 per box, eggs on sale $3.99 per dozen, off brand hot dogs on sale $4.99 per dozen. I can get a loaf of in-store baked bread for $1.00 but it is at least 4 slices smaller loaf
What about milk.? You need to include milk in the haul for the french toast as well as the mac and cheese. And what about Syrup or something on the french toast. That isnt basic staples.(usually only salt, pepper and oil/margerine is ) always like the extreme budget meal videos where they actually cook the meals. Also. Its an extreme budget meal where you buy food to fill your belly. For the least amount of money. Eating fresh fruits and veggies is expensive and not always affordable
I've found that aldi's american cheese is pretty gross, but all the other cheese there is good. I would probably buy swiss or provolone and make tomato and swiss or provolone grilled cheese sandwiches. If my budget was this tight i could probably scrounge a couple quarters in my house to buy better cheese. :)
I hope I don't ever get down to a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread for a week. Although, it is good to know it still can be done to get by if need be in a pinch.
Oh my gosh! Do yall not have sales tax on groceries? Ours is almost 9 1/2%. That's a killer on a budget. I usually plan on .10 on a dollar, but it really adds up fast. It's messed my budgeting up several times.
All these cheap brands have corn syrup, etc. Unhealthy. Better to stick with brown rice and dry beans.... oatmeal...can grind the oats to flour and make flat bread. Quinoa if affordable so less carbs. Sad the crazy prices. Good job...but if people eat corn syrup and other horrible ingredients in cheap cheeses....more health issues and then co payments. Rice and beans can get tiresome...
with the extra Dollar get a few cans of soup to go with grilled cheese
These videos are amazing especially for low income
You could also make tomato sandwiches with some salt and pepper and a little mayo packet if you got one that opens up a whole new set of foods

You could also do egg sandwiches for breakfast.

Sprinkle a little bit of sugar on sliced tomatoes and you have dessert delicious

We have 6% on non grocery items. No tax on food.
No, no tax on groceries here in NY but of course all our other taxes are super high.
This is screaming for some fiber

Very not healthy no no no
What did you actually DO with the food?! Waste of time.
We bathe in it, for healthy skin and hair 🥰
Seriously if you don't know what to do with these items you need a good cookbook and an equally good imagination.
@@cookingforme4711 Seriously?! Like seriously? You won't hear from me again. Believe me.
