@g4ryaf yes and tbh without Jane I can't do these. She plans and organises everything I just figure out all the filming and put it all together for you guys to hopefully enjoy 🧡
I live in cleethorpes..just watched the blog...brilliant..thanks for showing the good points in the town...people are quick to knock us down..hope you enjoyed the football...I play at that facility every week even though I'm 57😂😁⚽️🍺
@markriley5448 Hi Mark Jane fell in love with Clee a year or two before lockdown and we enjoy coming over to visit we always have a great time it's really lovely. People knock Blackpool heck you can knock anywhere if you want to but we like to try and find the joy wherever we go so I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The football was great, it's a really nice ground and good for you, still playing, that's brilliant 🙂👍🏻⚽️
Great vlog, really enjoyed it. You showcased our little town in a pretty favourable light, thanks for that. Being born and bred in Grimsby I never knew there was a museum in the Town Hall!! Live and learn every day...
Hi WellieMan glad you enjoyed it, we don't know stuff is going on in Blackpool half the time either. We always try to find the joy in places as best we can and we love our visits to Grimsby and Clee so it was nice to finally do a Football Tourist Guide on this trip. 🧡 Edit to add I tried to share it on the Grimsby GI Facebook group but sadly they didn't approve it which is a shame because not so many in Grimsby or Clee will see it now 🙁
Hi Rob we had a great time glad you enjoyed the video 🙂 it's always nice to hear we managed to do that. Jane does a lot of research before we go and she is pretty good at planning some good stuff for me to film and we come over to Cleethorpes and Grimsby every year Steels truly is her favourite chippy in the whole world 🧡
Yes Blackpool played Grimsby Town in August 1979. I was there. Derek Spence got injured and was taken to our old hospital with a suspected broken leg. As it turns out he had intense bruising. He was transferred to Southend United, played against Grimsby and lost again. How many footballers can say they lost at the same ground twice in one season? Incidentally the Nolans were playing Cleethorpes pier and there was also a local connection there.
@TheFootballTouristGuide He surely will. Decent player Northern Ireland international. Went to play in Greece I think? The Grimsby manager at the time was George Kerr brother of Bobby Kerr who played for Blackpool that day and of course played in Sunderland's 1973 FA Cup final team.
yes he was a great player I have interviewed him already when I first started my TH-cam channel but I am looking forward to watching a game with him (in my new format) I will definitely mention this to him when we go to the game together
Hi, yes was also at that game, Grimsby fan here. Great game if I recall correctly, think we won with a late winner, 4 - 3? We went on to win the league that year (Div 3). 45 years later and still waiting to be champions again of any league... 😒
@VVellieMan I just noticed there was a Town V Exeter programme too. Of course there was that memorable night in 1972 under Lawrie McMenemy and back in 1991 the great game which clinched promotion under Alan Buckley. What is it about Exeter and town going up in front of a packed house. Ironically enough when Town won the old 3rd Division title in 1979/80 they played Exeter on the opening day. They must be our lucky omen.
@ruthpritchard4 Hi Ruth yes we've worked through it, I've listened (for once😂) so all is well thankfully 🙏and we're a good team, we get on great so, more of these to come 😁👍🏻
It's good to see Jane back on board. You each bring a different perspective to TFTG. Keep up the good work!

Wow I didn't know that. I've got Derek coming in as a guest on LeeCharlesTV soon so I'll ask him if he remembers that 🙂😎
