I don't give a damn what people think but in my opinion Anette is a great singer. Her slower songs with Nightwish are close to untouchable

She certainly doesn't deserve the hate she gets. I think she is a good singer. The problem was she seemed to be too stressed out and often sick, which is very understandable.

Well if you’re going to start with a live performance with Anette, you chose the right song. She sings this one live quite well. For the most part, Anette is best enjoyed with the studio tracks and videos. This is a unique Nightwish song, inspired by 1930s American nightclub music. This is my favourite live Anette video. In general I think she really shines in the slower and more ballady songs like this, Meadows of Heaven, or Eva (I'm holding out for you to do the whole Imaginaerum album in order, otherwise I'd add some from that too!) - she gets a lot of stick because she can't cover many of Tarja's well, but her voice is just so different.

I think Anette has some jazz in her background. This is one of the few good live videos with her. Most times to hear her, the studio versions are a better choice.

At this point, the tension within the band had reached an almost boiling point. Within a couple of months Anette was gone and Floor stepped in.
This is prob Annette’s best song in NW and one of the ones she can do live. It’s a short list.
If you want to hear my very favorite Emppu solo, where he channels a bit of David Gilmore stylistically, you should check out Dead Boy’s Poem, live from Buenos Aires 2018. One of their best performances that you haven’t seen yet. Floor makes an old old Nightwish song her own. I assume you will be doing that full concert eventually. So we will probably have to wait. You’ll love it. The only complaint I have with it is that it is too short. Enjoy!

One of the few songs where Anette actually sounds good live. Nevertheless, you should hear the same song sung by Floor again. 1000 times better.

This was the genre from Anette and not the metal style from Nightwish. She was brillant making the studioalbum but she cant do metal on stage. In my opinion, Anette was only a stopgap solution because Floor was not available at the time.
Floor had it in her solo program too:

Bye Bye Beautiful is only played in the first tour with Anette. Anette later sings it solo as well. Here they are all still in a good mood, but that will change soon:

For me Floor's version comes no where close to this version. Anette simply shined
I do love Floor's version too, however for me Anette owns this one.
For you no version of Floor's ever comes close, if that's important and the main objective. I know you're not a fan of Floor. If it were for you, she could better leave Nightwish today, then tomorrow.
Personally I really do like Anette's tone of voice (but live she was the least consistent of all Nightwish's singers) and don't like Tarja's voice (style of singing) at all, especially from 2002 onwards.
@@huubdonkersteeg2408 Not certain to whom you are addressing this comment, but I've made it very clear in many posts here on YT that I love all three NW singers. I was introduced to Nightwish through Floor who I think is amazing. There are just some songs where I prefer either Anette or Tarja's version. Apparently you don't care for Tarja and that's fine for you. As a Nightwiah fan of all eras I'm just thankful that we've been blessed with three wonderful lead singers down the years.

First live version I saw/heard was Floor singing this.
Not gonna find many lives w Anette worth a listen...but this is an exception. She was a great front woman, strong stage presence and crowd interaction...sadly, her vocals weren't as solid.
