    I love Frauscher boats. Top of my lottery first buys.

    Now that's what I call a sleek speedboat, which will get the driver blood pumping. Thrilling speeder, but safety and comfort are also important. My heart bleeds for you Hugo that MBY sent you along to test drive this speedy Demon Lady. Your sacrifice is noticed - you lucky devil. Thanks for a great review that showcases her.

    A boat fit for a Bond villain! Seriously it should be in the movies.

    So glad you got out on this one, it's an absolutely gorgeous boat and the performance to match and the bimini was very smart too.
    Although it's slightly bigger I can't help but compare it with the F-line 33 and the spearfish and as much as I love the style of both of those boats I think this one would be my choice, just stunning.
    Thanks for the daydream Hugo. 👍❤️🇬🇧

    nice to see, two of the most innovative boat/yacht-builders these days are from my country...where is no touch to the sea... 😀... one is frauscher and the second is silent-yachts, the fantastic solar catamaran.....🙂

    Very cool and bond - accept 007 would have a machine gun on that pivoting anchor mechanism! Dare I say with that facial hair a slight hint of the Sean connerys! Thanks for the tour Hugo and the effort from all to share

    I feel like that should be a 50knot boat with those looks and the relatively stripped out interior. Sure is beautiful though

      Which is why I'd much rather own the 1017GT - more of a classic look and MUCH faster.

      Twin 440s are already as big as you can go with Volvo Penta Sterndrives (and the DPI drives quickly start losing efficiency above 40 knots, eve though I believe they are rated all the way to 50 now).
      Like the presenter said: Frauscher can fit different engines. If you want to go much over 40 knots, you really should get petrol engines. They're just soooo much more responsive and "sporty." But honestly, just get a smaller, lighter boat to go along with your million plus 46 footer, for dedicated sport boating.....
      A hull like this, at fast diesel speeds (to 40 knots) pretty much takes care of itself. Mallorca to Ibiza on autopilot. Even in choppy balearic seas. Lots of people prefer that, to going even faster, but constantly having to spot for waves and wakes ahead, as well as constantly minding trim and attitude and wave approaches (and fuel bills....). And this Volvo installation offers that ease of use (and in Europe ease of service as well...) in spades.
      I'm surprised how practical minded this crazy looking Kiska design turns out to be. Fender storage, glove box storage, Biminis, dinghy storage etc. Didn't expect that, as they look very "design forward" when you see them.

    The only thing I am not impressed with on this whole boat is the Bimini shade. Looks like an after-thought in the design process.

    What's the difference between a boat and a ship?

    • @nikosnoulezas
      @nikosnoulezas ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, we use the word “boat” when we refer to watergoing vessels, more or less regardless of their size or how particularly it's powered. On the contrary, large ocean-faring vessels, which use multiple sails or bigger engines, are more properly called ships. In this context, the word “ship” isn't commonly applied to smaller craft.

    • @robertcook2572
      @robertcook2572 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A boat can be launched from a ship, but not vice versa. That's why the Royal Navy call submarines 'boats' - the first submarines were taken to sea on board a ship for launching.

    • @tibchy144
      @tibchy144 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@robertcook2572 It's not about size. Boats can be big and ships can be small. The difference is in the relationship between the center of gravity and the center of buoyancy. Ships have center of gravity below center of buoyancy and boats have center of gravity above center of buoyancy. That's why boats lean to the same side when making a turn, while ships lean to the opposite side when making a turn.
