yeah also the original artists practice the same song for months and get it perfect, their mentors point the wrongs and rights all the time, she probably learn these choreos from youtube or another dancer and that was it. You have to realize she is a solo artist, she HAS to outstand her backup dancers and to be able to perform ALONE. those songs were performed in groups, and the fact she made it seem like she didn't need a group to perform these songs is impressive
The fact that Alexa is on the smaller side in terms of size, the way she is able to execute the moves to fit her body lines is something very commendable. I think her power style dancing is something very rare among female artists in the industry and I hope people can take notice of it. Some of you might regard it as over dancing but it doesn't look like a weakness, she does it because she has the stamina to do so and the effect is explosive from a performance pov.

lets just appreciate how perfect she is: -Speaks English Fluently (not hating kpop idols) -Can dance -Supports LGBTQ+ -Pretty -Can sing -Lots of confidence and a lot more.
She performs each movement faster with longer pauses between movements. Since part of her body is almost always moving, you don’t notice the longer time between movement. A lot of moves are less fluid when she does them, but it makes sharp staccato dancing her forte
Why is no one talking about the fact HER HAIR IS CONSTANTLY OUT OF HER FACE when she MOVES HARD. She has her isolations DOWN! It’s so sharp and centered. She definitely knows the intent behind each song and interprets them really nicely. I love it
I remember when I started dancing, my hair was a problem, it got in my face all the time. Now I’m the only one in my group that never gets her hair in the face. It requires a lot of skill, but it’s really satisfactory to see and really useful when dancing.
She’s good. She has good power, sharpness and isolations, and has great lower body control which makes for great footwork and legwork. She also has okay balance, good charisma, flexibility and is good at popping. She really suits hip hop dancing. Probably one of the stronger dancers of this generation (cause no one can reach Taemin and Hyoyeon level) but she defo lacks some precision cause she often overdances due to a lack of control in power and she struggles on anything aerial like jumps so her dance style is very grounded. Her main weakness is her use of her arms and hands (sometimes her lines aren’t defined properly and occasionally she doesn’t use her hands and so they are misplaced) excited to see her dancing journey as she grows as an artist 💃 keep it up!

I agree, she's an amazing dancer. She has the strength and aggressiveness for guy group choreography. I was most impressed during those parts. The girl group ones were a little off. I couldn't nearly dance as well as she does and maybe her strength just lies in more in your face dance styles

I don't think there is such thing as over dancing. The only over dancing I know is when you keep dancing after the song has ended. All the Korean girls say that guy group dances are a lot harder than the girls group dances. Not for Alexa. She killed it. She doesn't hold back.
3:06 almost everyone i have ever seen do that move, including half of twice, doesnt manage to get the circular/twisting hip motion right, they just move forwards and backwards. not only does she nail it, but its such a simple alteration to the way most people do it - all she does is swivel her foot from her hip, and it just happens. she makes one of the hardest moves in kpop to pull off look easy as anything, and yet somehow shes still as underrated as she is.

Agreed. I think it's because she started as a dancer (cover dancer even? Correct me if I'm wrong) before becoming an idol, so she doesn't dance in an 'idol' style, but more as a complete dancer, or a backup dancer, where she gets to hit each move harder, focusing on the feeling of the dance (whereas idol dancers are more controlled, focusing more on specific details and being in sync, etc). It's her own style, as you said.
Literally one of the best female covers of boy groups I have EVER seen. A lot of girl groups while they are amazing dancers they don't necessarily capture the power that most boy groups moves possess. But alexa ate it upppp dear god

I was fascinated on how sharp her dance moves are. Her dance moves look exactly like most american dance theme movies i used to watch. overdancing can be bad when u don't have technique, don't dance following the beat and lose balance you need control and power in your movements so they can come clean; also so you don't hurt yourself
I just like how much fun she looks like she’s having it makes me want to dance too. I guess while performing on a stage professionally you expect more technical aspects that entrance you but here there’s something more, she’s more in tune with her body to the music not caring about the little details which in a way is so beautiful.
Overdancing is when you put so much energy into the steps that it looks messy. She did overdance in a step in I Can't Stop Me but during the rest she had more energy than the original artists because they have to sing.
overdancing is a bad thing cause you cant control your whole body but people who dont do dance tend to like thr powerful without control and sometimes over dance and i think thats normal as people who dont learn dance to like it that way but as a dancer its kinda tiring and not good for your body.
Her control over her body is just stunning. I can't help but keep watching her core where she's using her abdominals to control those isolations. Like, not in a sketchy way. It's just fascinating to see her muscles move. AND she makes it look effortless?

I just like how much fun she looks like she’s having it makes me want to dance too. I guess while performing on a stage professionally you expect more technical aspects that entrance you but here there’s something more, she’s more in tune with her body to the music not caring about the little details which in a way is so beautiful.
Overdancing is when you put so much energy into the steps that it looks messy. She did overdance in a step in I Can't Stop Me but during the rest she had more energy than the original artists because they have to sing.
overdancing is a bad thing cause you cant control your whole body but people who dont do dance tend to like thr powerful without control and sometimes over dance and i think thats normal as people who dont learn dance to like it that way but as a dancer its kinda tiring and not good for your body.
