I think 1 reason that NA seemed more mechanical might've been their spacing. If you look at the EU replays you can clearly see how every solo play is shut down and closed before it even started. I think that if Daniel was on EU servers, he would not have the space and time to do all of that. Just my opinion tho.
I agree but, in my eyes, taking what you said that also means they just get in the air faster and in result meaning they have faster decision making.
@@RocketLeague439 I dont think it's just because they get in the air faster. I think they do a good job shutting down the play as soon as it starts. At 3:17 there's a great example.
Garrett G is doing the NRG special, wait on the goal line. Used to work back in the day when kids weren’t so consistent with their mechanics but the game has evolved. Why all those NRG boys fell off, haven’t adapted. Shut it down early. If they beat you, they beat you but quit waiting for a mistake bcuz it’s rarely going to happen these days. I love Squishy but this why he couldn’t compete anymore and ultimately retired. His game used to be based on being patient and waiting for his opponents to make turnovers. Today’s game is now about midfield challenges, not waiting. Counter attack teams still have some success but not even close to the teams who control the Midfield. Why Monkey Moon is the Goat. He has played to shut the down the midfield his whole career and why he’s still on the top
I think NA tends to get into the air faster and I feel Daniel would be limited but definitely force his style into the field

Well even though Zen is one of the best 1v1 players in the world, Vitality had him play 3rd man and he was clearly happy and comfortable with this, and they won a lot. I feel this showed EU's value of team-based strategy. Their world, you have to remember, is dominated by soccer (football) where team passing is everything, so naturally their minds gravitate towards similar playstyles in RL. Americans seem to have fantastic self-confidence and so their playstyles seem to tend towards supporting each other's solo plays instead. As a result you get players like daniel or firstkiller who feel confident to 1v3 in high pressure situations. I'm really glad we have these differences in playstyle because it makes the RLCS such great entertainment!

In the first match, it's not just Vatira and Zen, but all four are French, lol. Plus, Reeyko and Yujin made it to the top 16 in this first qualifier, so they're playing the Swiss rounds this weekend.
Speaking of that, teams like Solary with 3 francophone players (lost to WYLDE), SAUDADE with 3 francophone players (lost to Endpoint), Valient with 3 French players (lost to jorj), La Masia with 1 French player (knocked out Beligol but got eliminated by F4WD), and Motorsport with 2 French players (lost to NOVO Esports) show that the French are really in the mix. It's crazy to see so many French players close to qualifying for the big event, as you can see on Liquipedia between the 17th and 32nd place.

As it's already been said, the French RL community is really different from others, and lots of French players have (though streamers communities, discord servers excetera) the possibility to play with better players and improve faster.
Other than that, them having an all French team in RLCS plays the same role as NA teams, so their comms are better and they probably have great chemistry.
That said, I still wanna know why every French I play against is so toxic

One of the reason might be that non toxic french tend to just speak english online to accomodate for other players who might not speak french.
So non toxic french sometimes don't look french, and you only notice the toxic ones.

the "speed" and "aggressive play" with Daniel, it's just because the NA defense is a "little bit bad and it's only because the NA defense didn't play against Zen last year, vatira the one before, and still others before. Before zen, the French defense was totally different, now the French defense jumps early and pre-shoots a lot of the ball, all French people who have seen an NA game are shocked by the passivity of the NA defense. There are other problems, and, the French players are not methodical, but instinctive, they don't think about making a good decision, they make the right decision because they feel it, On the other hand, French beginners are trained thanks to a good French coach, Rasmelthor, others too, so build a fairly solid reflection of the game,
So, the French are strong because the French youtuber Squeezie made a video at the release of the Rocket League game that pushed a lot of young people to try the game, then because they all became children of the Kaydop goat, Then once pro They practiced against players like Zen (who starts the game after Squeezie's video, who is a fan of Kaydop, who scrim vs. Vatira Atow etc). There was also monkey moon who inspired a whole generation, and now, the fact of having seen the clips of the 1vs1 of zen, the strokes of genius of atow etc, pushes all the French to become extremely mechanical. There's also the fact that the French suck at English, so they had to create Rocket League content in French, which pushed us to build a community

Honestly I don’t think a more balanced kinda play is too much better just because we see that in South America and some eu teams and it just doesn’t work out, BDS is prolly the best balanced team and they’re a bit of an anomaly

as a french i think eu pro player are like 50% brain 50% mechanics and for us pro player it look like more 25% brain and 75% mechanics but hey play like want play if it works and you like your play style and it's great for the show

It's because french are much better at fundamentals and team plays, those things translate much better to stressful lan environment than high mechanical plays.

I truly believe Daniel is unreal at the game but at the same time if he would take the time to create team plays instead of mechanics then I truly believe G2 would be the best team out!!! He is crazy good but crazy chaser and prob difficult for his teammates to play with. If he would instead of always trying to hit clips maybe do like firstkiller did today! I used to always think a reset was an advanced mechanic or really hard to hit but then I watched TH-cam videos and I put in the practice for a few hours, and Now I've been hitting some flip resets in game which I posted on insta to keep proof. But I would say Practice makes better. .
