Fun fact : the reason why cj didn't say anything about ryder is because r* never planned to make ryder a traitor. I always knew that Smoke and Ryder had sold out GSF. Ryder was just able to hide his betrayal better. Smoke never shot at Ballas and even made up the ridiculous excuse of wanting to finish his food over protecting his life in a shootout. He moved to Ballas territory, always changed to subject when Sweet wanted to talk about CJ and his mom. And, he didn't even attend the funeral. Ryder was just too damn critical of CJ and way too hard on him.
You know, a lot of you guys might find this mission heart breaking, but honestly, it's not that bad. Even though both knew about the hit, in the introduction, Big Smoke did say some things were bound to happen and that can lead them forward in life, and Ryder was just going with the flow, meaning like whatever happens, happens. He's not supporting nor stopping from the hit happening. Just to summarize in what I'm saying: Big Smoke wants a better life and fortune, and he knows that by stepping on his current surroundings and affiliations, he can obtain it. Ryder on the other hand, doesn't really care what goes on. If Sweet, OG Loc, or Big Smoke dies, his reaction would just be, "That's part of being in the hood" He's basically very passive. This can relate to real life, people can betray an organization or corporation if you want to think business minded, people will step on you for a better career, or step on you if they are jealous of you. Also, this mission unlocks another 1/3 territory, which is a nice bonus. Trust me guys, Rockstar made this mission for a purpose, hell, any kind of betrayal missions relate to real life. On one hand, I hated this mission because I lost access to territories and gang wars which gave me a lot of ammo and guns, and money back at the safehouse to collect, but on the other hand I like this mission because it gives me access to so many new things, and the missions out in the countryside can give you a lot more money than in Los Santos, and plus Ballas and Vagos aren't always shooting at you when you're just minding your own business doing what you feel like in the countryside. Los Santos, though, they'll jump on you at the worst of times, and the random attacks on your hood isn't always pleasing, but it's still a great opportunity to get ammo and guns, plus free health and armor if you find them during the gang wars.

In terms of story, GTA San Andreas is still the best. It talks about the value of family and brotherhood, either by blood or by soul. Damn! I would never tired of playing this game.
you know even thou Ryder keeps saying to CJ that he's a buster and all and this and that i feel like , Rockstar should've made Big Smoke the only one who betrays them not Ryder, Ryder should've stayed Loyal
because that was rockstar's intention to ryder: make him stay loyal to GSF. the problem is, the voice actor of ryder had an disagreement with r* that made him quit from the voice acting
ryder was not supposed to be a traitor but the character who gave him the voice had to complete the album as evidenced by the fact that no one ever mentions until the show when you need to kill him
Smoke's betrayal was so obvious in the beginning. In the mission Drive Thru, he tries to digress from the discussion of CJ's mom's murder and when the Ballas attack them, he tries to shun shooting at them, using the food as an excuse. Also, he lives in Idlewood, which is Ballas' territory, and has the cops walking in and out of his house. Those blatant clues to Smoke's betrayal are far too obtrusive for you to be oblivious to.
The only clues of Ryder's betrayal were in the mission "House Party" where he say he was gonna go get Smoke and the rest of the guys and never came back and the mission "Reuniting the Families" where he and Smoke ditched CJ.

Fuck no. Gta IV is like "I don't have money and I'll work for everybody to get it" and ending was waaay too predictable. I mean it's missions is almost all doing for business and less about relationships and deep story. Don't get me wrong Gta IV is great game but for me it's not on San Andreas level.
I'm playing these games for years but now I understood the story of them and that makes them better than they look. I played this mission today and oh my God, it was very dark, the "Mission passed" that didn't appear, the fact that it was rainning it made it more dark and real, like WHOAH
I agree And at the same time I had made this comment on the myth video about that green sabre car Tenpenny and Pulaski might have wanted to bring Carl under them So they took the green car and drove it in the garage. They wanted to be seen Hernandez was not present so there is a possibility that he had informed Caesar. The second possibility is that crash themselves might have seen Caesar there So, to bring Carl, they waited. As Carl saw everything, Pulaski backed out the car to use it as a bait. After Carl left to rescue sweet, during that time smoke or ryder might have repainted the car or destroyed it under Tenpenny's orders and then we know everything leading to Carl's exile and Sweet's arrest
I remember being scared for everyone by that point when I played this as a kid. I mean, CJ and his more loyal friends and family who are now at risk since Ryder and Big Smoke are in cahoots with CRASH and the Balla’s drug operation. This was a gutted moment for everyone who played this.

3:06 Actually, Ryder and Big Smoke are not Grove Street family, but they have betrayed CJ and Sweet from Grove Street. Ryder and Big Smoke are now joined by the Ballas, Tempenny, and also C.R.A.S.H., they have spied on Grove Street to shoot green-clad Grove Street.

Smoke's betrayal was just as overt too. Refusing to shoot the Ballas, deliberately using the food as an excuse for not doing so, and living in Idlewood, Ballas' territory, sufficed prominent evidence that Smoke would eventually become a traitor as well.

sorry
+Big Smoke fucking snake
Fuck you , why you did this you backstabber 👆🏽
+Hemant Gupta watch your language homie there's little brats on here
7:56 got me laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣🤣
In terms of story, GTA San Andreas is still the best. It talks about the value of family and brotherhood, either by blood or by soul. Damn! I would never tired of playing this game.
This mission changed the entire game forever for me.
you know even thou Ryder keeps saying to CJ that he's a buster and all and this and that i feel like , Rockstar should've made Big Smoke the only one who betrays them not Ryder, Ryder should've stayed Loyal
I feel like Ryder and Smoke had depression thats why Ryder kept insulting him and that's why Smoke keeps saying random stuff from 'the book'.
They were all peer pressured by Tenpany
because that was rockstar's intention to ryder: make him stay loyal to GSF. the problem is, the voice actor of ryder had an disagreement with r* that made him quit from the voice acting
ryder was not supposed to be a traitor but the character who gave him the voice had to complete the album as evidenced by the fact that no one ever mentions until the show when you need to kill him
The amount of lost potential as a result of making Ryder a villain... I really liked him😔😔😔
When you realize that you had to follow the damn train just for a betrayal from him.
"Hey Hernandez you gonna piss all day?" Lol
Smoke's betrayal was so obvious in the beginning. In the mission Drive Thru, he tries to digress from the discussion of CJ's mom's murder and when the Ballas attack them, he tries to shun shooting at them, using the food as an excuse. Also, he lives in Idlewood, which is Ballas' territory, and has the cops walking in and out of his house. Those blatant clues to Smoke's betrayal are far too obtrusive for you to be oblivious to.
That moment when you are pissed off about Smoke, and the lost of all those gang territory that you worked so hard to get...
The only clues of Ryder's betrayal were in the mission "House Party" where he say he was gonna go get Smoke and the rest of the guys and never came back and the mission "Reuniting the Families" where he and Smoke ditched CJ.
Derek Gardner
The intro movie, his jealousy of CJ and his constant talk about being a genius are definitely hints.
7 years ago I completed this, still emotional about this game. Nice storyline, huge map, nice rain but lacks reality which is included in GTA V.
Lacks reality? Dude do you even know the difference between 2004 and 2013 games. G.T.A. San Andreas was developed in 2004 while G.T.A 5 on 2013.
TheKnown Unknown
ya I know...thats why I love this game so much...Now my lil bro playing this and I became emotional and It reminded me those school going days.
6:54 even cj can predict how george floyd is threatened by police
LOL I KNOW RIGHT
I was just gonna comment that but you beat me to it 😆
But it's half accurate since Tenpenny, who is black, is the one who torture CJ
7:56 should be a meme
4:25 CJ: i gotta warn sweet
*dialing tone*
3 seconds later
*dialing tone*
CJ: damn it sweet pick up, pick up!!
*dialing tone*
Sweet: hey what's up you called me but i ain't picking up so leave a message after the
CJ: shit! shit! shit!
There is literally no other GTA story as deep and touching as San Andreas
Fuck no. Gta IV is like "I don't have money and I'll work for everybody to get it" and ending was waaay too predictable. I mean it's missions is almost all doing for business and less about relationships and deep story. Don't get me wrong Gta IV is great game but for me it's not on San Andreas level.
Gta 4 then Gta SA
I like how they did the close-up after CJ said, "What the fuck?" That was the perfect effect for that kind of surprise.
This is why I like Cesar, he's a true friend to CJ.
I'm playing these games for years but now I understood the story of them and that makes them better than they look. I played this mission today and oh my God, it was very dark, the "Mission passed" that didn't appear, the fact that it was rainning it made it more dark and real, like WHOAH
3:05 *Insert sadness and sorrow theme here*
3:00 man, that spot where the ballas were was DOPE
Hernandez and Cesar might be in a connection, maybe Hernandez told Cesar this all along, that's why he's killed by Tenpenny and Pulaski..
I agree
And at the same time
I had made this comment on the myth video about that green sabre car
Tenpenny and Pulaski might have wanted to bring Carl under them
So they took the green car and drove it in the garage. They wanted to be seen
Hernandez was not present so there is a possibility that he had informed Caesar. The second possibility is that crash themselves might have seen Caesar there
So, to bring Carl, they waited. As Carl saw everything, Pulaski backed out the car to use it as a bait.
After Carl left to rescue sweet, during that time smoke or ryder might have repainted the car or destroyed it under Tenpenny's orders and then we know everything leading to Carl's exile and Sweet's arrest
I agree. Big Smoke's betrayal was blatantly planned out, but Rock* apparently improvised Ryder's betrayal.
I love how even the cops aim with their guns sideways
9:21 this is how Tenpenny got away with all charges towards the end of the game
6:56 "I can't breath"
3:16 that's the mother fuckin green sabre
That reference me to the guy who has been died by police with his knee
The Beginning reminds me of Vice City Stories, when Umberto Gather his men including Vic for a Briefing to Defeat the Cholos.
true
and Umberto and Cubans defeating the Haitians in Vice City
When I saw the name of the mission I was like, "I didn't Ryder mentioned something about A Green Sabre?"
Why cj said : what kind of mess smoke is into without even mentioning ryder...
Figva RS he never like ryder
Seth Quentin he did. And that's not why he didn't mention him
KeV3n can you make a mod so big smoke and ryder doesnt betray us (sorry for bad english)
@@KrissyGabagool Non-canon but yeah.
Bryster Myster wtf is NON canon?
I remember that I was shocked when I first played this mission.
I remember that moment of getting to Sweet before he dies, it felt so real like my brother was in danger
6:56 this didn’t age well
Yeah... yeaaah.....
Tempenny: "Hey Hernandez you gonna piss all day? "
😂😂😂
I remember being scared for everyone by that point when I played this as a kid. I mean, CJ and his more loyal friends and family who are now at risk since Ryder and Big Smoke are in cahoots with CRASH and the Balla’s drug operation. This was a gutted moment for everyone who played this.
Man, I was 12 years old when I played this. I remember pausing the game right after the skit in pure shock. The first time I ever felt betrayal haha.
no matter what,Ryder will always be one of my favorite characters
But you are Ryder...
Hello My dude
Ryda's right
'Intimidate those who intimidate others carl' is my favourite line
But Ryder and big smoke were my favourite characters
Me too
Top 10 anime betrayal
I can't breathe 😢
ryder was not supposed to be a traitor but the character who gave him the voice had to complete the album as evidenced by the fact that no one ever mentions until the show when you need to kill him
I was disappointed Ryder and Big smoke betrayed Carl.
Imagine how much hearts were broken when we saw Big Smoke and Ryder in this mission......
ryder was not supposed to be a traitor but the character who gave him the voice had to complete the album as evidenced by the fact that no one ever mentions until the show when you need to kill him
4:42 SH*T SH*T SH*T (From Learning Alphabets With Cj etc.)
6:54 please man i cant breathe please
thx for all the great vids!
3:17 CJ: That's the mother___ green Sabre!
3:33 CJ: Moms!
Cesar: Sorry, esse.
4:42 CJ: S___! S___! S___!
5:15 CJ: Cesar called, showed me some s___!
5:29 CJ: Yo, Ballas! I'm taking you mother___, you hear me?! I'm taking you all down, b___!
8:11 Tenpenny: Homies for life? Street royalty? That's all bull__, Carl!
Smoke's betrayal was just as overt too. Refusing to shoot the Ballas, deliberately using the food as an excuse for not doing so, and living in Idlewood, Ballas' territory, sufficed prominent evidence that Smoke would eventually become a traitor as well.
If only R* kept Ryder in original way to not betraying CJ and the Grove.
Back when I was playing this game as a kid, it took me forever to get to this mission, I'd keep getting stuck in some mission and i actually developed a close bond with all my homies, I thought that they we were going to be the same till the end of the game
