Willow is a beautiful sorrel mare that is sweet and kind minded to do anything with. If you’re looking for the smoothest horse you can find here she is. She is absolutely quiet and gentle for most anyone from 8 to 88. She is one of those once in a lifetime kind of horses that checks all the boxes.
She is registered AQHA with an impeccable western pleasure pedigree. She is 7 yrs old and we’ve had her since she was 3 yrs old. She has never been to an auction or in an online auction in her life. She will only be sold to the very best 5⭐️ home. I planned on keeping her forever but life changes made me decide to sell her to someone that will dedicate more time to her. She deserves to be someone’s main focus and priority. I never find the time to ride her but when I do it’s a dream ride.
Willow originally had professional western pleasure training then was being geared towards the ranch pleasure and ranch riding. She is a beautiful mover and has all the presence in the world. We have let a friend of ours daughter use her for some open shows and she has done great. You could tune her up and go show her if you’re looking for a weekend show horse.
Willow is not just an arena horse. She is fabulous out on trails. She will go through water. She’s been ridden in rugged terrain. She will go up and down hills. She will cross a bridge. She’s been ridden out alone as well as in groups. She’s been ridden down the street with cars going by and not phased at all. She’s been ridden beside our carriages and wagons on rides. She is used to dogs running all around her while riding.
We have used her for events to give rides to tourists and foreigners that have never ridden. At those events there is all kinds of commotion, music, bounce houses, slides, etc and she keeps a cool demeanor through it all. They’ve used her for photo sessions for people that want their picture with a real “Texas horse” . We’ve also used her for lessons and she’s tolerant of different riders. You can put her on a lunge line with a kid on her for little tykes lessons.
Another unique thing about Willow is we’ve used her on the ranch to gather and move cows. She’s comfortable riding out in the wide open. She is great to spend the day just leisurely checking fences. We use her to push steers up the alley to the roping chute.
If you’re looking for an ultimate all around type horse that is fancy, smooth as silk, beautiful, sweet, broke to death, safe for anyone and that you can do a lot of different things on then Willow is your girl. Willow has impeccable ground manners. She does all things well you expect out of a broke horse like stand for the farrier, tie, clip, bathe, load and haul. She has great stall manners. She is hot walker broke as well. No vices, no habits, sound.
