    for the default no flash set up, you can just turn on the camera, then press the flash button to no flash location, then press the flash button for three seconds or until the flash led blinking , then press the shutter once, then it will be default on no flash every time you turn it on.

    I've always liked the contrast and saturation on mine, but the corners are soft and it vignettes a lot at 28mm.

    There is a guy in the UK who will repair electronic compacts now. In case you're ever stuck. It's no longer an unrepairable camera! PPP Repairs. Check him out if you get stuck. I have no affiliation with the guy, but he's reliable and offers a service that most people won't.

      Alex Sinclair PPP Repairs! I‘ve been watching his repair business from the very beginning. But if the ribbon cable inside the TVS-Lens breaks nobody will be able to fix it, it’s pretty much impossible to reach

      @egzonbuxhovi7651 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Digital Analogs it is possible to fix it.
      It costs around 80€ and you can buy the cable for 20€ from china (its a bit thinner).
      A guy in germany is able to repair these now.

    cant believe people dont know about the flash lock, just picked up a TVS II and it worked as well! no mention of that functionality in the manual either. Thanks!!!

    why is the camera unrepairable? Is there anyone who does repairs out of their homes? Or are parts impossible to find?

    • @digitalanalogs4189
      @digitalanalogs4189  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      most electronical cameras are unrepairable because there are no spare parts. The big problem with the TVS is the flex cable in the lens mechanism that can break, there are spares on ebay sometimes, but installing them is apparently very difficult. PPP Repairs might be the one to speak to

    nice review, thank you - do you need to reset the focal length every time or does the lens hold the last position you left it for the next shot, or even after turning off/on? appreciate it.

    • @digitalanalogs4189
      @digitalanalogs4189  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, sorry for the late Answer! The Focal length is set by turning the knob around the lens and since you have to turn it to turn the camera off the focal length will always be reset

  • @davidlee-gn4ms
    @davidlee-gn4ms 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey I have a question, did you notice that the lens doesn't make any movement or noise when you correct the af with halfpress/and or the manual focus knob? I wonder if my A/F is not working or it's actually that silent.

    • @digitalanalogs4189
      @digitalanalogs4189  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It only focuses when you full-press. You can set it to prefocus on half-press with the custom functions. Check the manual on butkus :)

    Guys, I've never used the manual focus distance dial as its always on AF but I recently realised that after it "clicks" away from AF, there is no step clicks in the distances marked.. Its just completely free rotating and smooth. Is mine just having an issue or all are like this? Thanks in advance!

  • @rockylopez1198
    @rockylopez1198 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question, I have this camera and sometimes when it's too dark, I the shutter just stops and the inside turns off, then I close it and it makes a repeated clicking sound. I've had just blank frames appear.
    How did you shoot so well at night?

    • @digitalanalogs4189
      @digitalanalogs4189  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Rocky, this sounds like an electronic defect. Both of mine never did this and showed a proper shutter speed reading even up to several seconds in dark conditions

  • @benny9588
    @benny9588 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just own a TVS also, and it is come with a p fillter, but it seems that the filter is quite dim and block some light, and I removed it. Will you use the camera with the filter comes with the camera? will it affect the results a lot?

    Do you develop and scan at home or do you send your film somewhere? Your colors are phenomenal!

    • @digitalanalogs4189
      @digitalanalogs4189  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I develop everything at home with the Cinestill 2 Bath C-41 Kit and then scan with a Plustek 8100i. Some of the film may have been developed by the drug store, but there really is no difference in quality.

  • @stephencaserta2969

    how have the exposures been overall?

    • @digitalanalogs4189
      @digitalanalogs4189  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i have since sold it, it never missed exposure too badly, in really difficult situations it might underexpose. For night shots i usually adjusted with the exposure comp dial to get the longest time i can hold steady from the hand. Maybe 1/8 or 1/15s, the longer the better for night shots

    Can anyone let me know if a G1 is better than a TVS or TVS 2?

    • @digitalanalogs4189
      @digitalanalogs4189  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's not even the same category of camera, it is obviously better in the sense that it has many more features. although it is not competing with compact cameras, but rather with cameras like the G2, Leica M, Konica Hexar RF, Hexar AF, etc.

    Im really debating on getting a TVS or a TVS ii, do you know if there are any big differences between the two? Is the TVS ii worth getting over the TVS?

      I don’t think it’s correct to compare these two. Tvs is a point and shoot, g1 isn’t.

    50 euros for my F90X 15 years ago. 60 euros for my 50 1.8D 15 years ago. 110 euros total for an analog reflex and a 50 1.8 lens.
    Guess what ? I’m still using them in 2020
