So, developer here (not for GGG, just a software developer) I tried this trick with a cluster jewel since I don't want to spam watchstones (I don't have much currency) to see if a trick we do sometimes might work. So, above, Path of Math, you did "Watch !Essential !Vaal !Alterating" Try doing "Watch !!Essential !!Vaal !!Alterating" -- if it worked like what I did for my jewel ("Cluster !!Pall" instead of "Cluster !Pall") --- what you're looking for will now highlight or "light up" the item like you are used to. So you don't have to think "greyed out is good", you can continue "lit up is good" --- !! is the same as "Pall" -- but I presume when you search for "Essential Vaal Alterating" it's looking for them in a row / other way that will never be, and by doing !Vaal you're turning it into a true/false thing. !True = False !!True = True Which is why this works.

He means to either use alts on each watch stone one at a time until they aren't glowing, or to use alts on all of them in sequence, skipping ones that aren't glowing. You can't use items like alts on multiple items at a time.
There's no such thing as a keybind or anything else that would let you apply an orb to every single item in the stash. What he actually meant is that you can roll 20 different watchstones with 1 alteration each in rappid succession so that you wouldn't accidentally skip over a good modifier clicking that fast on a single watchstone. Hope it made sense
there are also some programs that can detect and send a sound alert when u hit a certain mod and since they not clicking or changing any game date (only reading it) they legal

I think you missed on the fact that the prefix is what you want, and alting a non-prefix stone will lose you half your alteration, use your augumentation orbs, which you should have more than alts.
You should look at guides about regions perks so you know which ones people are playing, and try to get watchstones related to them :) As an exemple, Valdo’s Rest T1 Jun mission sell for over an exalt

Assuming it's now using proper regex, you'll need to escape special characters like + and %, etc. To do so, put \ in front of the character. So, your search might end up looking something like Quality: \+20
I remember trying to get a single fucking auspicious watchstone last league. I spent over 5k alterations, my eyes almost melted and my wrist was killing me from clicking over 5k times. Just thought I'd share my traumatic experience.
As of 3.14 you can also regex, i haven't teste it yet, but i do know regex and you can do a shitton of things with it. If implemented correcly you can for example search a item that has at least 2 resistances at 45+ and a life row and etc. I will check it today to see how they implemented it, but that is huge, specially for people that like hoarding rares to see possible good ones to use & sell. You can just save a huge regex on a note pad, go to a quad stashfull of trash and it could probably highlight one or two worth looking, without needing to checking every single item with that one mod you want. You can also search for other things without reversing it, i used a lot for contracts: "counter|percep|decept|lockp" will highlight all ct, perception deception and lockpicking contracts on your heist stash. I also use "refle|leech|block" to mass roll maps, every map that is not highlighted is runnable.
Just have big brain and remember every good prefix, ez! btw I actually did this on platinum lira, uul/chayula/thorough/exotic/mitogenetic (blight dupe is meh tho) also you kinda need to look if you want to use augs to save alts anyways
I don't think its that big of a deal, most people alt spamming probably already know there's more than one valuable mod per watchstone, although doing it this way is way faster than manually looking.

I see you have autohotkey installed. Are there macro's you're using that you can share? (I'm assuming that anything you're doing with it is within the rules)
"watch" always highlights the item, so you ADD parameter to "un-highlight". Whenever those parameters are present in the item, the condition that "un-highlights" fails, therefore item highlights because of "watch".
When looking for multiple mods, you don't have to actually read the mods every time you click. I know from experience that this can be fast early on, but slows down as your concentration fades and it becomes really easy to click past something good when that happens. By only looking for the highlighting, it takes significantly less concentration AND it takes less time per click to determine if you hit something good or not.
Assuming your friend played 12 hours that day, and the current mirror price is 186ex, he had to make 15,5ex pr. hour for 12 hours straight. That's 1 exalt roughly every 4 minute, without a single break. Unlikely to say the least.
He did it when Valdos rest was becoming a thing again and all the hype around it. The stones were giga cheap, the alts were cheaper and mirrors were a lot cheaper ad well. Must have been a week or two ago, but I don't see a reason for him to lie.

You guys do realize that you can just look at the name on the watchstone right? You're still doing it in the same speed. You're not spamming alts here because it isn't cancelling your spam. If it cancelled your spam it would be broken. You're just making it easier for people who don't want to remember the specific name but that isn't very difficult. Also it's decent if you're spamming 10+ at a time I suppose, but really you're not saving that much time and you still have to hit. so I'm not sure how your "friend" made a mirror in a day doing this since the price of the two most expensive watchstones are roughly 7-8 ex each. He would've had to spam 100,000 alterations + to even come close to making a mirror, actually that wouldn't even be enough. Which then brings up the question of what this video is really about. It's about macroing or using hkeys for profit, but even that could be done more efficiently with a generic script. Either way, your claims are pretty unbelievable and unsubstantiated, but anecdotal evidence usually is.

Because of the way the highlight feature works, if you want more than just one mod you have to do it this way.

You're right, it's busted. Using "20%" works, but using the "+" symbol breaks it so "+20%" won't work.
