Akash Narang ji , I have a wardrobe on a 5 inch thick brick wall in my bedroom adjacent to my bathroom. The wall said on the bathroom side is tiled and upto 7 ft height. am experiencing dampness on the wall, up to a height of max 3 ft on the wardrobe side i.e., the walls of the wardrobe and that damages the clothes , if left without changing even for 15 days. I presume that the water is coming from the floors of the Bathroom which surface is also tiled. Should I go for changing these floor tiles and grouting them with epoxy grouting after treating the floors with this Asian Paints Damp Block chemicals before tiling , in order to check the water source ? Pl suggest your idea of doing the things to get rid of this dampness inside the wardrobe. Thanks and regards.
Sir since your problem is too critical because your bathroom is adjoined to bedroom wall so i recommend you to use ASIAN PAINTS SMARTCARE BATHROOM membrane instead of coating.Because only it can give you long lasting solution for dampness problem of bedroom wall.Coating will not last for much long there.You can visit asian paints website and can schedule an expert visit to your home from there to know more about application,price & availability in your town and you can also look for regarding videos about smartcare bathroom membrane on youtube.

haa aap use kar sakte hai use plastered surface par,lekin uspe apko uspe cement ka ghol lagana padega otherwise tiles set nhi ho payengi,and second thing bathroom ke andar ki aur bahar wali dono sides pe recomment karunga me apko best waterproofing ke liye

Sir fir uspe aap asian paints damp block 2K na laga ke berger home shield wallshield 2K lagvaiye plaster ke upar lgane ka best waterproofing product hota hai vo.Ye two pack product hota hai jisme polymer based liquid and chemical based powder ki twin packing ek single box me aati hai.Inko 2:1 ke ratio me damp block 2k ki tarah same apply karna hota hai but plaster ke upar. Vo apki wall ke andar se ati hui dampness ki bohot achhi aur lambe time tak hiding karta hai.
Application-
Step 1-Sabse pehle ye check kijiye ki apki wall me dampness ka source kya hai. i mean koi pipe leakage tow nhi, ya fir uske aas paas septic tank, water tank, koi drain jisme running water behta hai, ya vo wall kisi esi wall se join tow nahi jiske aas paas esi koi situation ho. Agar hai tow fir pehle usko fix kara ke then apko brick level pe hi damp block 2k ki coating karani padegi because ese me vo plaster level water proofing product ki life khatm kr dega aur apke pese waste ho jayenge.
Step 2-Agar esi koi situation nahi hai tow aapko sabse pehle wall pe agar putti paint hua hai tow jitne area tak apko dampness dikh rahi hai usse kam se kam 3 feet upar tak ka paint and putty ghisayi karva ke hatvana hai. Aur plaster ko visible karana hai.
Step 3-then agar ghisayi karte hue plaster damage ya usme ghaddhe ho gaye honge tow use repair karva lijiyega otherwise proper coating ki film form nahi ho payegi aur uske nikalne ka risk rahega.
Step 4-Then wall ki tarayi karva ke use halka sukhne dijiyega.. pura nahi sukhana buss itna ki usme se atleast 50% moisture nikal jaye sirf utna hi rahe jitna jaruri hai taki surface material na peeye aur apke product ki extra consuption na ho.
Step 5- Bucket me wall shield 2k ki liquid daliyega, then usme powder mix kijiyga.. ye apko 2:1 ke ratio me mix karna hai i. e 1 kg powder me 500 ml liquid or 2kg powder me 1 litre liquid.. iss ratio me mix kijiyega.. and most important is liquid me powder milayega.. powder me liquid mat milaiyega otherwise vo flour(Aante) ki tarah goond jayega aur usme dale ban jayenge aur vo kisi kam ka nahi rahega.
Step 6- Then simply apne painter se brush se uska first coat vertical way me apply karvaiyega and uske atleast 6 hours tak dry hone dijiyega. Then after 6 hours second coat horizontal way me apply karvaiyega and after 48-72 hours depending on your areas weather condition minimun 48 hours bad uspe wall putty karva ke paint karva lijiyega. I assure you agar application properly hui tow atleast 2-3 years tak apki wall ki dampness ki problem solve ho jayegi.
==>VERY IMPORTANT NOTE==>
1. Apko uski coverage ka jarur dhyan rakhna hai uski coverage 7-8 sq feet per kilogram per 2 coats se jyada na ho otherwise coating ki layer patli banegi. Iske liye aap chahe tow walle ke area ko 2feets *4feets,
4feets *2 feets, ese measure kar ke mark kar sakte hai isse apko clear rahe ki agar humne ek kilogram powder ka solution banaya hai tow usse hume sirf 2 feets *4 feets or 4 feets *2 feets ka hi area cover krana hai 2 coats me usse jyada nahi otherwise coating ki film patli banegi.

3. Agar apki wall pe paint nahi hua hai tow aap 'APPLICATION' ka step 2 chhod sakte hai baki uske aage ke steps follow kar sakte hai but jahan tk dampness dikh rahi usse 3 feets upar ka area jarur lena hai. That's it..

actually the packing contains a packet of powder and a bottle of liquid which needs to be mixed in 2:1 ratio 2 part of powder and one part of cement,we have to mix that and need to prepare a solution then we need to apply that on bricks or plastered surface with the help of brush.
Hi sir, what a great video... we have 75000 liter water tank built of BRICK Walls (600 mm) but still we are seeing leaking and damp walls as soon we fill the full tank (may be due to PRESSURE?)... can we apply this on the outer walls of the tanks which are visible from the PUMP ROOM (underground) to stop leaks and damps

Sir,since your watertank would be filled with water most of the time so damp block 2k would not be that much effective solution for you because the pressure of water in the water tank would be much high for damp block 2k to handle so it might damage the coating of db2k.You need much thicker coating for your water tank so i recommend you to use Asian paints smart care epoxy triblock for water tank.It is applied in rcc water tanks and even in swimming pool.You can visit asian paints website and book an expert visit to your home from there to know about availablity,estimate & application and you can search about asian paints smart care epoxy triblock on youtube for relevant videos.
By the way, it is okay if we pour or spill the water before two days of the application to remove the dust? An applicant suggested me to do so and I blindly poured the water on Tuesday night and today they have to apply the solution.
Haa sir 2 din me tow sukh gya hoga moisture.Fir bhi aap ek bar thik se check kr lena wall geeli na ho.Otherwise moisture evaporate nhi ho payega aur coating ke niche hi trap reh jayega aur coating ki life kam kar dega.

Nhi vitalia is a different product.Vo basically cement ka setting time badhata hai jisse cement thoda der me set hota hai,isse basically main advantage yhi hota hai ki masale ki wastage kam hoti hai jo sukhne ke kaaran waste ho jata hai.

Fir first coat ke bad upar se tape lagva dijiyega koi alag se chipkane ke liye nhi lena pdta product jb first coat sookh jaye aur bass halka sa geela ho uspe upar se tape lga dena hai cracks ke upar acchi tarah se jisse vo cover ho jaye pura,fir upar se 2 aur damp proof ke coat 4-4 ghante ke atleast gap me lga ke uss tape ko dabva dena hai...bass apka badiya solution ho jayega cracks ka bhi aur waterproofing bhi badiya ho jayegi.

No there's no need to add water.. it comes with a polymer liquid inside box which needs to be added with powder in 2:1 ratio i. e in 1 kg powder 500 ml loquid needs to be added

3.Jb tarayi dry ho jaye tb apko bucket me wallshield 2k ko same damp block 2k ki tarah same 2:1 ke ratio me first coat horizontal & after 6-8 hours bad second coat vertical karna hai plaster ke upar.
Ab iss case me apko wash basin hatvane ki jarurat ni padegi.. aap puri wall ke sath sath washbasin ke aas pas ke cementious surface ke upar application kr sakte hai. Then uske baad aap wall putti krva ke primer ke 2 coats lagva ke paint ke 2 coats lagva lijiyega. I am sure agr dono products ki application thik rahi tow kam se kam 2-3 years tk koi problem nhi ayegi.
***NOTE***----Ye sab process karvane se pehle ek baar apke washbasin ki pipeline jarur check krva lijiyega kahi purani hone ki vajah se upar wall ke andar se leakage na hori ho. Vo pipe line bhi jo washbasin ko water tank se connect krti ho, vo pipeline bhi jo washbasin ko drain se connect karti ho & vo line bhi jo washbasin ki drain line ko main drain line se connect karti hai inhe jarur check kra lijiyega agar inme se kisi me bhi problem ya leakage ho tow pehle use fix karva lijiyega. Fir waterproof coating karvaiyega otherwise coating ki life kam ho jayegi.

damp block ek powdered pack ata hai jise aap plaster ke upar use kar sakte hai uss jb case me jb wall me seelan ho par white white shora na nikal raha ho
and damp block 2k powder plus liquid ki packing me ata hai inhi dono ko 2:1 ke ratio me mix kar ke shore wali wall ka plaster remove kr ke bricks pe 2 coats apply karte hai fir new plaster karte hai sukhne ke baad ye shore ka best treatment hota hai

No,the surface has to be completely dry before apply damp block2k over it.

Its work only 4 month... after that problem Again happen.... I was used Asian Damp block product but it's not work properly which they show in advertisements
sir aapne ya tow fir dampness ki jo source hogi uska pta kr ke use fix nhi kiya hoga.. these kind of products are just used for hiding of dampness.. they cannot stop source of dampness.. you need to consult a civil engineer and find out the source of dampness before applying waterproofing products.
