In my bathroom i want to apply cement coat after waterproofing . How long i have to wait after apply ing second coat

Hi, in this case, One can apply a coat of 6-8 mm thick cement sand mortar on the wall/floor after 12 hrs of application of second coat of Damp Block 2K once the coating should dry enough.
Smart Care Repair Polymer (7-10% of cement weight) should be mixed in the cement Sand Mortar for better strength and bonding.
This application should be done within 48 hrs after second coat application of Damp Block 2K for proper adhesion of the plaster mortar with Damp Block 2K coating.

I am a contractor and I am applying this mixture tomorrow morning and I am not plastering on the surface , directly I'll apply POP on the wall face will it give good results?

Hi Sachin, for good result we recommend plaster over damp block 2K.

Hi, if you need to do water ponding test wait for 7 days or if you want to do cement plastering over damp block 2k you can do after 24 hrs.

If i add 2:1 ratio .it will became a thick consistency.? Then how can I apply

Hi,
SmartCare Damp Block 2K mixing ratio is 3:1.
If you reduce the same then material become thick, which will have problem in application i.e. penetration between gaps of bricks will reduce

Brishti Roy I too used in the same said ratio. Add powder slowly to liquid keep stirring. yes it was bit thick. i applied with brush

@@asianpaints Product information sheet does not describe it. It is only written you can apply second coat after 4-6 hours. But it is has not stated whether there is any upper limit or not for the same ?

Hi @@aichsuman , you can apply damp block 2k 2nd coat after 6 hours itself, so you can apply damp block 2k 2nd coat after 48 hours and do the plaster after 24 hours. Hope this helps!
