Hello Gaooomunity, Sorry that my upload became a bit late! I'm gradually getting back to my usual pace, so please look forward to it! More Travels are coming in February and Spring Season! Let's Keep Walking together in 2025
A new place to visit, Kamata, close to Haneda airport but unknown to tourists showing special atmosphere special due to the locals. Christmas vibe still at Haneds is also inviting, as well as some less frequented hidden spots. The candy shop with presentation of its creations so interesting, especially the final product so precise and cute. Although a little bit shoter your hairstyle is OK! Awaiting gladly the following adventures and travel videos. GAAO.....
Last year, stayed in Kamata immediately after arriving in Japan and immediately before departing. It is convenient to Haneda Airport and the business hotel we stayed in even had a free shuttle to the airport that enabled us to easily make a fairly early flight. I never felt at all unsafe there and it’s not seedy in any way. It’s a great choice if your flight arrives late or leaves early.
The night time view from the monorail is really beautiful! I bet the night time view on the Yurikamome Line from Shimbashi to Toyosu must be just as fantastic! 💫🌟🌃🌉Bright lights, big city.
Thank you Rion for taking us off the beaten path and highlighting lesser known areas of Tokyo. Very informative video. Keep up the great work. Let's Keep Walking! GAOOOO! 🦁
Excellent upload as always, brother! Thank you for showing the local town, and a station people wouldn't normally visit. I just got back from Japan, and the best food and times I had were at lower popularity areas. Seeing everyone live their daily lives and happily including me made me feel at home. Thank you and have a beauuuutiful day 🤩Let's keep walking😸
Thank you Rion. I was there in a hotel (about 8 min. Walk from JR Kamata Station) for about 1 week during mid January. This video gave me views of the streets I did not walk on and gave me smiles with memories created while I was there. Thank you again and wishing you the best in 2025.
Thank you, Rion for the travel tip to and fro Kamata station, a station that is worth going to on my next visit. It is a joy to see you enjoying these less popular Tokyo stations like Kamata. I did enjoy your vlog today and I never tire watching you highlighting the clean and beautiful Haneda Airport. Thanks and looking forward to the next! Gaooo! 🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺
Rion, I was at Haneda Airport (terminal 2) last October, suica cards were not available. But, on one of your videos at Tokyo station, you showed the ticket machine that sells the Suica cards. On my next Tokyo trip, I'll buy it there. Just a note, my american friends use the digital suica card on their Iphone.I can confirm it worked well. They used it at the stations, plus adding money to the card was easy. Highly recommend.
Great video as usual !!! May I suggest, in the near future, would you please make some time in your busy schedule and visit Tottori Prefecture. I'm pretty sure you know they are the least populated Prefecture in Japan. They have beautiful train lines, like Hakubi Line, Inbi Line and San'in Line with amazing trains like Yakumo and Sunrise Izumo. They are neighbors with Okayama Prefecture and accessible through Kyoto, Kobe or your Home Town Osaka.
We stayed in Kamata for our last two nights in Japan this November, since it was so close to Haneda. We really liked the area, and even walked around at night!
We stayed the Hotel Villa Fontaine at Haneda Terminal 3 last week & just flew out from Haneda last night. We highly recommend eating at Torikai Sohonke, the Oyakodon restaurant near the Gogo Curry. We are from Hawaii, so there's no place here that has Oyakodon with the same value & quality. You would probably say that the cost there is "the airport price", but Honolulu Hawaii price would cost twice, maybe even three times the amount 😢 We also used the Tokyo Monorail to our AirB&B at Togoshi Ginza. We miss Japan already!
Another amazing video! Please let us know more places that aren’t that popular… Also We look forward for your new year resolution! Can’t wait to see your videos exploring other countries
keikyu kamata is where I usually stay in Tokyo. close enough to both tokyo and kawasaki and feels like home because it's locals only outside of the station.
There are two times I visit Japan via Haneda Airport , one I stay in a hotel near Kamata station, and one at APA hotel near Omori station. Both area are good.
Great walk again Rion! The Donki Hote next to the station is very convenient for travellers going or coming from Haneda and need a place to buy all the stuff. I got a pair of free shoes there last year because the staff forgot to scan it 😂😂😂
I stayed in Kamata last time l was in Tokyo as l got a great deal on accommodation and it was lovely not staying in central Tokyo and being close enough to explore all that Tokyo has to offer.
Would be nice to spend more time in the town and less at the airport since you have been there numerous times .. We are curious about the history of a small town and local attractions. You seemed to like it a lot but didn’t stay long . Best of luck in 2025
Oh man... I wish you made this video earlier. Kamata is totally my vibe. I was staying in Omori for my recent trip to Japan and would have totally explored Kamata if I had known. Thanks for the great videos! And I wished I had more time to explore Haneda Airport. I had a little hiccup with my luggage and had to shuffle some stuff around to make it all work. Really like flying into Haneda as Tokyo proper is way closer and easier to get to. I think it was about 15 minutes from Haneda to Shinagawa. So convenient!
@@RionIshida It's so easy to get caught up in the big places like Shibuya or Shinjuku, but there's so many little gems all over Tokyo. It's fun to explore. This last time, I went to Chiba for TAS at Makuhari Messe and Tsurumi to visit the Nismo factory. I didn't realize that there was a JR Tsurumi and a Keikyu Tsurumi and that the bus I needed was at the other one... The adventure is part of the fun!
You might consider attending Star Wars Celebration in April at Makuhari Messe. That would be a fun video. Thanks for all the great info. I can’t wait to see your country during cherry blossom season!
Ohhh that chicken looks ~ bari umai ~ but no kanpai 😢 I had the best karaage lunch set in Osaka at Kitahama Kukuri (北浜くくり). Okini Rion! I made so many friends in Osaka thanks to your kansai-ben lessons. ❤🎉
It's always interesting to experience something new to explore, a refreshing sight of the local town!😊 Yea, Pokemon is everywhere! Let's keep walking🚶♂️➡️
I had no idea about Kamata, so lovin’ it when your “I’ve heard this about it” becomes “I’ve seen this as I walked around” 😎 After going to my hairdresser for years, she started to cut my front hair shorter & shorter, too, even though I’ve tried giving gentle hints or going much earlier (to let my hair grow a bit) before I had a special picture-taking event 😅 In the end, I was sad to switch, but my hair is happier 😝 Let’s keep walking! P.S. So sorry to hear about what happened in Tsutenkaku 😖 Hope they will be able to recover before many visit for the Expo 🙏 Osaka ganbatte! ✨
I was there 2009-2023 in two different cities. It was an interesting and overall enjoyable experience. Being there made it quite affordable for going to Japan myself.
The gambling, prostitution, and drunkenness give some people the idea this is a rough area 😂. Living in The Rust Belt, I of course loved the video! Be careful out there!

I spent a month in Kamata last year. It was absolutely amazing and perfectly safe.
Love when you venture to new places.

Nice he went to a new town but at least half of the video is Haneda airport - a place he’s been to numerous times ?
Wishing him the best otherwise

I appreciate the video! Please keep it going with the lesser visited neighborhoods! Makes me want to enjoy other places than the main stops in Tokyo
Thank you Rion.

Thanks Rion! ❤
Please do more of these rion! We need more local tokyo vibes! ❤
Every time I’ve been to Japan and stayed in Tokyo I’ve always stayed in Kamata. I like it as an area and good links to Yokohama and Tokyo.

Thank you Rion for taking us around!!!😊😊😊
"I went to Tokyo's Roughest Neighborhood" almost sounds like a Sora the Troll stream lol

Yup, Omori and Kamata is closer, but Omori is more quiet and Kamata is a bigger city with more population. Maybe next time😉

It's been a long time ago!I was living in China for 1 year! 😆✨
