This is such a needful message! I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have the Holy Spirit to help me in prayer by praying in tongues! Like Creflo I had a situation where someone gave a interpretation of when I prayed in tongues. I didn't start when I got on the bus but had been speaking in tongues for quite a while. After getting on a bus there was one other person sat down at the other end of the bus. I felt like praying in tongues, so I did, this passenger turned round and said "you speak Spanish" (I was excited at this!) I said "no. What did I say? The passenger told me that I was glorifying God in Spanish!!! When I was saved I was on the alpha course the Holy Spirit weekend way. After we all went to sleep , men in one bunk barn and the women in another. At 3am I woke everyone up shouting in tongues at this point I was still asleep but I was dreaming. This dream I was in the throne room, I was standing on a stone floor facing two stone thrones God was sitting one one of them and Jesus was standing in front of His with His arms stretched out towards me. They both were dressed in white gowns with gold sashes , their faces like the stars and their hair like lightning. I fell to the ground in worship speaking in English.

I’m need of my question to be answered please? Now I just recently started speaking in tongues it happened a few days after Aug.11,2020 on my birthday. It was on the Aug 17,2020 when it happened for me. I was given thanksgiving with praise to our Heavenly Father and I heard this song called “ Put a praise on it” by Tasha Cobbs...I started dancing to the song And I started back with thanking God even more, and then as I was praising God I heard my voice changed to being very fast. I noticed that I wasn’t sounding like myself and that I was speaking another language and my tongue was uncontrollable. My kids looked at me with very surprised faces! 😅🙏🏽🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I wanted to know how often would it happen?

Funny thing is that apostle Paul himself said that he doesn't know how to pray. If the greatest apostle claimed he himself had no idea how to pray, what makes us think that we have any idea how to in our own natural strength. If I am speaking TO you in tongues, then yes, of course, an interpretation would help for edification. If I am praying FOR YOU to the Father I don't always need an interpretation but many times when I do the person does receive one. 1 Cor 14:6 Now, brothers and sisters, IF I COME TO YOU speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching? He who speaks in an unknown tongue speaks NOT TO MAN BUT TO GOD. So yeah if I'm praying for you TO God there is a big difference. I'm an African in Africa and when diabolical people , witches and sorcerers want to invoke evil powers, they chant incarnations, it's not any known language to humans, it's spiritual. Satan always copies God. He never creates anything, he defies what God has already created and given. God has given us personal prayer language which the human mind cannot comprehend. And it reads ....... "Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified." Amen, Ronald David that is very true, but after doing some research on what Capt Poetry commented on, a lot of churches and preaches have past down corruption to this verse, tongues is a language not glossolalia (example ( da da da di di bo ko) I have to admit, I did do this, but now I will come clean and repent. But if the Holy Spirit want me to speak Spanish or any other language without me learning it, that is the true meaning of it, I will do it with an interpreter to be my witness, cause I will have to tell my interpreter to let the people know the Holy Spirit is upon me and I never was never taught Spanish but this is the power of the Holy Spirit.

As I understand the speaking in tongues is REAL...is it true to have someone else interpret what one is saying when they speak in tongues, or is it just one "assuming" they are interpreting someone else speaking in tongues? I thought it is a one on one with the Holy Spirit.
some people pray alone in tongues this is prayer spirit to spirit - spirit to God. Even at this some times interpretation can be inter mixed with this private prayer- one self interprets. But in a church setting someone is holding service and someone in the congregation is feeling burdened with the urge to speak in tongues the ask to speak...if some is able to interpret then so be it or maybe the one speaking in tongues also self interprets. This is the benefit for the congregation. Speaking in tongues privately or in a group to God can also edify oneself or be benefiting someone else not conscious of yourself..but all is know by God through the Holy Spirit. IN BOTH INCIDENTS THEY ARE CORRECT AND BENEFICIAL.

In 1Cor.14:2 Paul calls it the " unknown tongue" " that no man knows". If no man knows it then it' s not a language native to this world.

One major work is the more you speak (Peter states he speaks more then anyone back then correlates to the abundance of spiritual gifts, etc) miracles, sign & wonders, etc) the more the gifts ignite (stir up). Yes, it charges up, turns up, like plugging a plug into a wall socket. The HS starts to flow, charges you. So let me ask you... have you been able to perform any of the gifts without speaking in tongues or anyone you know?

Charles F. Parham was an American preacher and evangelist. Together with William J. Seymour, Parham was one of the two central figures in the development and early spread of American Pentecostalism. It was Parham who associated glossolalia( speaking in tongues) with the baptism in the Holy Spirit, a theological connection crucial to the emergence of Pentecostalism as a distinct movement. Parham was the first preacher to articulate Pentecostalism's distinctive doctrine of evidential tongues, and to expand the movement. In 1901 Topeka Kansas at the Bethel Bible College, Charles F Parham taught how to speak in tongues and it was the evident of the holy spirit after being baptizes. Agnes Ozman was a female student of Charles Fox Parham's . Ozman was considered by many as “the first to speak in tongues”. Her experiences sparked the modern Pentecostal-Holiness movement, which began in the early 20th century. According to her fellow students, their prayers were heard, and her colleagues reported that a halo had surrounded both her face and head and that she started speaking Chinese. Not long after, Parham and thirty-four other students also began speaking in unknown languages. It is said that Ozman could not speak English for three days and was only able to write in Chinese characters. But long before then Frank Sandford visited Japan, China, India, Egypt, and Palestine. In China he toured the China Inland Mission of Hudson Taylor, where he noted with admiration that "all depend upon God for support and divide their supplies equally"-a model for his own Shiloh. Visiting the Holy Land, Sandford developed a lifelong passion for more knowledge about it, but he nearly died when his steamer sank off Jaffa. Among those influenced by these early religious developments at Shiloh were A. J. Tomlinson, founder of the Church of God, and Charles Fox Parham, one of the founders of the Pentecostal movement.

I’m need of my question to be answered please? Now I just recently started speaking in tongues it happened a few days after Aug.11,2020 on my birthday. It was on the Aug 17,2020 when it happened for me. I was given thanksgiving with praise to our Heavenly Father and I heard this song called “ Put a praise on it” by Tasha Cobbs...I started dancing to the song And I started back with thanking God even more, and then as I was praising God I heard my voice changed to being very fast. I noticed that I wasn’t sounding like myself and that I was speaking another language and my tongue was uncontrollable. My kids looked at me with very surprised faces! 😅🙏🏽🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I wanted to know how often would it happen?

Funny thing is that apostle Paul himself said that he doesn't know how to pray. If the greatest apostle claimed he himself had no idea how to pray, what makes us think that we have any idea how to in our own natural strength.
(Two-thirds of our new testament came from Holy Spirit through Paul and yet he claimed that we and he do not know how to pray accurately.)

Paul groups himself among the "WE" that don't know how to pray correctly. Thank god for the prayer language of the Holy Spirit, because the only one who knows how to pray for things as they ought is God himself. We need people now more than ever to be informed about this gift, and Holy Spirits power for perfect prayer.

As far as this stupid debate on "interpretation" if you read it in context it's not saying that you can't PRAY in the Spirit in church. If the Holy Spirit is the one who makes intercession for the saints (according to God's will) who will I depend on for results when a saint asks me to pray FOR them?
There is a big difference with me speaking TO someone and praying FOR someone. Now if it is a message TO the church it should accompany interpretation.
If I am speaking TO you in tongues, then yes, of course, an interpretation would help for edification. If I am praying FOR YOU to the Father I don't always need an interpretation but many times when I do the person does receive one.

Praying to God and speaking to someone else are completely different things. The chapter is self-explanatory in telling you about the different or diverse operations of tongues.
Paul emphasized the Spirit as priority one, then the understanding (1 Cor 14:15). Even the "understanding" should come from the Lord.

I'm an African in Africa and when diabolical people , witches and sorcerers want to invoke evil powers, they chant incarnations, it's not any known language to humans, it's spiritual. Satan always copies God. He never creates anything, he defies what God has already created and given. God has given us personal prayer language which the human mind cannot comprehend. Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, I thank God for His WORD and wondering why are some good Preachers consistently so incomplete in their teaching on what BUILDS UP the saints as though there were some sort of an agenda , isn't the BEST WAY (Acts 20:32) which also adds MORE to the building up of the saints with all encouragement more than Tongues. And it reads .......
"Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified." GOOD OLD FASHIONED STUDYING THE WORD which continues to build me up into the Bible Teacher of many that I am today.

Amen, Ronald David that is very true, but after doing some research on what Capt Poetry commented on, a lot of churches and preaches have past down corruption to this verse, tongues is a language not glossolalia (example ( da da da di di bo ko) I have to admit, I did do this, but now I will come clean and repent. But if the Holy Spirit want me to speak Spanish or any other language without me learning it, that is the true meaning of it, I will do it with an interpreter to be my witness, cause I will have to tell my interpreter to let the people know the Holy Spirit is upon me and I never was never taught Spanish but this is the power of the Holy Spirit.

As I understand the speaking in tongues is REAL...is it true to have someone else interpret what one is saying when they speak in tongues, or is it just one "assuming" they are interpreting someone else speaking in tongues? I thought it is a one on one with the Holy Spirit.
some people pray alone in tongues this is prayer spirit to spirit - spirit to God. Even at this some times interpretation can be inter mixed with this private prayer- one self interprets. But in a church setting someone is holding service and someone in the congregation is feeling burdened with the urge to speak in tongues the ask to speak...if some is able to interpret then so be it or maybe the one speaking in tongues also self interprets. This is the benefit for the congregation. Speaking in tongues privately or in a group to God can also edify oneself or be benefiting someone else not conscious of yourself..but all is know by God through the Holy Spirit. IN BOTH INCIDENTS THEY ARE CORRECT AND BENEFICIAL.
