Beautiful Hornbills!! On my Hornbill as well as many of my African statues, I leave that antiqued aged coating on that the master carver applies that gives the statue that aged look...My Granddaughter thought my statues were dirty until I showed her when I wiped them with a dry cloth that nothing was on the cloth and that it was made to look like that on purpose. But I noticed you must not like that aged look since you clean that coating off. 😊
Thank you for your comments! Much appreciated. All of my antique furniture as well as African art are solvent wiped before entering our home. Antiques and artifacts can sometimes have a pungent smell as well as memories. I’ll like them cleaned lightly for a fresh new beginning. And yes I’m a germaphobe 😊
@@DarrylMcCullough ...I always wipe mine down too very well because I'm an extremely clean person but I'm able to leave that antiqued finish on them that's applied after I clean them well.👍
These are ground hornbills in Zulu isingisie is their name, I think I spelt this right, found all over sud Africa. Very powerful bird generally African people don't dare kill them, as they believe these are reincarnated deceased children, another African bird that is virtually never killed is the crowned crane.
Greetings! Thank you. I’ve been asked about the cleaning process before. My next video that I’ll release later today will briefly discuss the cleaning process. Please subscribe to my channel to get this info. 😊
