@@georgemacdonald3087 I was wrong in thinking that you were American and with said accent pronounced the word incorrectly by pronouncing it uesing "pills". I understand "plz" is not a English word, but that being said, it is used phonetically to replicate the sound use to correctly pronounce the original word. You can Google "staples pronunciation" and it will show you it is not pronounced "pills" in both the English and American pronunciation, but "plz" is used. If you are unhappy with Google you can look in the English - Cambridge Dictionary. I was just trying to help the chap, it feels like you are searching the internet for an argument. Please "Plz" don't reply, I will not read it, just go and be happy.
