I don't get good results with the Vallejo primer. I use an Iwata NEO TRN2 with a 0,5mm needle. It sprays very well, but after drying it's not very durable. You scrape of the primer very easily. Sanding is also a problem. The primer feels a bit rubbery. At first I used Vallejo thinner and some Vallejo improver. Now I use it straight out of the bottle but still no satisfying results. Do you have some tips?
If you are looking to sand, use another primer, this can potentially tear. You could try heating it with a hair dryer or heat gun until it is fully dry, but even then this is a paint primer rather than a sandable filler primer. I recently used AK micro filler primer and that was highly sandable. But of course, it is solvent based. Most water based primers are less durable.
