Listening to this reminds me how much I miss my '64 Gibson Skylark. Not as big and punchy as this, but the same response and character, with a good tremolo.
I use a Magnatone 15 Watt Varsity Reverb. Best amp I ever used, no pedals needed anymore. And it is loud as hell. So I build in an attentuator, which makes it much more usable.
To everyone that loves Johann’s tone. 3 things - 1. turn up your amp and get the guitar away from the mic. If we can hear your unamplified sound, you messed up 2. Learn how to move a mic to the best spot in front of the speaker. 3. Practice all the time. Any spare second, be playing something you have to concentrate on getting right. Do these things and in a few years you can sound as good as Johann. This man has worked HARD to sound so effortlessly good 👍
I can see why Slash is having Magnatone build him an amp. Glorious tones! Would love to hear that amp pushed with a TS9 or other OD pedal, just for fun. God bless and rock on 🎸😎👍
Thanks, I haven’t played them back to back. Both are amazing. The Royalist does British tones perfectly and this one American tones perfectly like Zeppelin 1 for instance
Love the "straight to riffing" intro Johan. Killer tones and ace playing (as usual), thanks for another great demo!
Fabulous Johan. So articulate. Great to see Magnatone back in the game.
Thanks Eddie! Glad you like it. Yeah they did a great job on this one
Awesome performance. I can now see why Slash went over to Magnatone recently. You bring out the best of that amp there with the Flying V. :)
Thanks Dennis!
Sounds so satisfying. I'd love to get the chance to play one of those amps. Very direct connection between guitar and speaker, really expressive.
Ahh.... that`s one badass combo . Vintage Flying V through a 22W Mono Magnatone . Should not be sold separately ! 😊👌
Hahaha! Thanks man, yeah they both look and sound amazing combined
Those are outstanding amps. Huge tone!
Thanks!
Wow
What performance
Even a touch of Ritchie in 1:15
Clear and soundfull
Thanks man, glad you like it!
It can nail anything 70s rock n roll
I want those hiwatt amps in the background.
Hahaha! Simon found me the two version of the DR103.
@@JohanSegeborn not one but two? Omg

Thanks, those are indeed great amps too
Hi, Johan! I must say, I ❤ this sound! Awesome! Have a nice weekend and thank you for the video!
Siegfried
Thanks man really glad to hear that! Have a great weekend!
That sounds fun!! Nice work

Norman Greenbaum...Spirit In The Sky...NICE Johan!
Thanks, I love that track!
I am waiting for my Twilighter for one year now. I hope it will arrive in January.
You’ll love it!

I'm such a sucker for that vibrato, luscious. 22w just about the right size?

Thanks man, glad to hear it!. Have a great weekend
Very interesting. Billy Gibbons seems to love the new ones.
Yep you are right. Thats a great amplifier. Maybe that's why the Reverend Billy F. Gibbons uses them.
Great demo Johan. Cheers from Hawaii. Darrell
Thanks Darrell! Cheers
The tone was magnanimous! (I'll show my own way out! )
😂
@@JohanSegeborn Well it IS a MAGNATONE!
Hello, which tea would you choose? Magnatone twilighter or fender 64 custom reverb hand made?
A greeting !
Have you noticed Johan, you always sound best playing a V ... ??
Great! What kind of amp an speakers du you have as a your home stereo?
Really nice 👍
Thanks!
i bought this one. It's day and night. i trew away the pedalboard and go guitar + Magnatone. it reached the final tone quest.
Which do you prefer Twilighter or the Panoramic model?
love it! how do you compare it to the TK Royalist mkiii ?
Thanks, I haven’t played them back to back. Both are amazing. The Royalist does British tones perfectly and this one American tones perfectly like Zeppelin 1 for instance
My dad has been talking these magnatone amps ive always been a marshall man but i think i have a reason to convince him to get one
What type of tubes you using in her?
It’s the stock tubes. Think it’s 6V6
@JohanSegeborn sounds great I'll definitely show my dad thank you for the info and keep rockin man love your content!!
How can I contact you to discuss gear? We have the same taste in gear would love to talk.
Sounds really great, but you need the Lonnie Mack Flying V with Bigsby!
Thanks ;-)
@@JohanSegeborn I had to make an answer video with my original;-)

this magantone sound better than some vintage fender amps
What volume were you running that bad boy at? Must have been loud haha. All amp distortion correct?
I ran it at around 6-7. And yeah no pedals only amp distortion. Very loud for 22W
yeaaaaaaaaaah !!!!!!
Cheers! 😆
I have three vintage magnatones. As nice as this one is it’s not better. There’s something they can’t replicate in the old.
Am I crazy? It almost has an old school Marshall sound to me?
Don’t notify me/ I need to learn “ Beautiful Girls” , with my bandit or my nextone stage , and stop watching equipment videos 😂
Joking but seriously
Amp is on the top of the range, but price too !🤑
