Why so much hate on Bayonet charges? It's something that have always existed in war context. Also it's not people use it carelessly, and I get killed by it few times. It's not much of a game changer but it's a mechanism that belongs to war games.

It would be fun to see your take on it since I love doing it myself and I usually come out with a lot of headshots holding down flags from a long distance with a 10X.

In-game I use a rangefinder that comes with the trench periscope to determine its maximum effectiveness and the target distance this is like how real life snipers rely on the spotter to do the range work.

820ms for the suppressed rifle would give it a supersonic crack at about 130db if we are talking real physics. Ofc this is a game, but just so you know :) If it sounded like the game irl it would be below 340ms and have a lot less energy at the target. More like a (weak) handgun.

Jack I know bayonet charges get people triggered. Even me sometimes. But a good bayonet charge that kills someone. It takes skill but most times will get you killed while charging. That's why it's an insta-kill. It's not OP. I personaly love it when I get a bayonet charge kill and survive after it I think this because it makes me feel like I knew exactly what to do in that situation. Bayonet charges need to stay.

Jack, you should make a series titles DicePLS where you talk about certain things in each previous game that you don't want to see in BFV. I think it would be a good series for the time frame. I want to propose an idea: How about for bayonet charges, it's only successful when the victim is at a certain Heath range; having the victim (who's beyond that range) dodge the charge with a set animation.
what if, bayonet charges were not an insta kill, but instead it did the animation of getting thrown on the floor, it will take like 50-80 damage and you will bleed, if you're lucky you would be able to kill the enemy then bandage or something
GG's Jack, nice vid. I enjoyed BF1, never felt like the game wasn't balanced and had a lot of fun most games. I think the weather effects and post processing was a bit much here and there because I couldn't ever think of one time when my human eyes saw all that blurry, weird crap going on like in the game. It just hurt my eyes and didn't make much sense. Hopefully BFV goes present day or slightly into the future because I feel like a WWII or historical war game right now isn't going to sit well with a lot of peeps or they had better do something very different with it if they do.

Yall saying bullet drop isnt a thing in BF1 but realistically an 8mm mauser round shouldnt drop more than a few inches out to 200 yards and same goes for the 30.06 round used by the 1903. Sounds like none of you have attempted, let alone landed, shots for 300m+. In BF3 not only was the bullet speed SLOW - the bullets dropped like you were shooting nerf guns. Believe me when I say a .338 lapua magnum should not drop 2 mils at 200 yards or take 1.3 seconds to get there
BF1 is a fun game, but wow it could be something else if DICE actually balance-passed the weapons they added from the DLC's, actually tried to tune Rush/Operations to be more than a dual-objective meat-grinder. I don't hold out hope for the next game and as someone who has bought every BF since BF2, DICE is dead to me until I see some changes in their design and post-launch support.

Nivelles sucks on cq, but its probably the best on frontlines(the best mode of bf1 imo).

ABOUT THE BULLET DROP if you play with the lebel sniper you will notice a significant increase in bullet drop
