Use this castor oil lotion for your skin care. This will not replace castor oil for castor oil packs. Castor oil is heavy and greasy and you have to worry about getting it on your clothes. Castor oil lotion may not be as effective as castor oil, but it is much more effective since you will actually use it .

castor oil pack kit
Castor Oil Lotion Recipe:
Phase I
70 grams shea butter at room temperature cut in small pieces
70 grams emulsifying wax
280 grams boiled distilled water, or herb tea of choice, aloe vera juice, or hydrosol
Phase II
3 grams honey
6 grams optional herb infused glycerin
6 grams Vitamin E
6 grams Sorbic Acid +2PF formerly known as Optiphen Plus
6-9 grams of essential oil
140 grams of Castor oil
This has a body butter consistency. For a thinner lotion follow my recipe for lotion recipe # 5 in the above book.
