they were one of the first to introduce twerking in kpop. I remember they were interviewed about it too. this debut was clowned on a lot but it's genuinely a fun song.

Watching this music video again, SO MUCH DIFFERENCE from music videos these days. At least these ladies looked like they were GENUINELY having fun and their gesturing towards the camera didn't seem awkward as compared to other groups where everything is so choreographed that the stiffness really shows through :')
As much as I agree that people at that time were not ready for WA$$UP's debut and concept, they paved the way for more 'bold' concepts to ensue in younger idol groups nowadays, and this debut will forever remain ICONIC in its own right :D

I gotta say, this is still the one of the few pnly Kpop group that's worth my time. They did their thing while being unphased by the haters, were strong women, SUPER GOOD to their fans, and had a great group chemistry. The industry didn't deserve them, and Wa$$up deserved much better. ♥️♥️

firstly that's not how u twerk lmao and secondly they skin isn't naturally tanned most of it is spray tan that's why they have an orangish tint lol but I do agree that Korean beauty standards are pretty close-minded and need to include a variety of skin colors and different body shapes

Puedo decir que estuve en el estreno de este MV sin saber nada del grupo y me sorprendí cuando lo vi por primera vez, la canción se me habia hecho pegadiza y no la dejaba de escuchar jaja, sin duda estas chicas estaban muy adelantadas para su época, pensar que actualmente estos tipos de bailes y videos son realizados con total normalidad y tienen tantas visitas, pero recuerdo que este MV apenas llegaba por los 10k sin aumentar por un largo tiempo y los likes y dislikes estaban casi iguales, es bueno saber que llego a los 2M y ha sido bien recibida con el tiempo 😊
