This is an awesome video! I am fixing up a '79 Z50R my brother in law found rotting in a ditch. I just got the motor running on points but I was considering upgrading to CDI down the road, now I am convinced!
I have a 77' Z50 that's been in my garage for 22 years. I'm installing the same conversion right now. I needed to see where you put the ground and module. I didn't drain the oil before I took off the back plate. Just a mess. Anyway, , Great video and Thank you for Sharing/Teaching.
@@timkilgallon2098 Hi. I put it on there and got it started several times very easy and with a small funnel for gas feed. In the mean time I got a new gas tank and fixed the brakes. I didn't start it for a long time. So now it's February 15 2023. I can't get any spark from it. I'm waiting for a response from OHTOKC for how to test it.
@@2strokeguru Did you get one of these CDI ignitions? Im looking into getting one but as yet Iv not got any feedback from anyone who has used one. Tim.

Air filter boot for the ke 125 is 100 bucks they made 10 of them sold 4 . There is also a cdi 12volt lighting conversion for the 125 . but it real money . Like 500 bucks ... I set my 74 ke125 up with it . Also set it up with the tubliss system for my wheels and set it up with a set of Michelin star cross 5's . Mine looks like it came from Ken Kaplan's museum.

A messy garage has nothing to do with quality of work or craftsman ship the reason why it is messy is for a back ground have you ever watched pickers and 98% of the bikes on my channel are mine I own 28 bikes and counting people watch for my 30+ years experience Instead of negative comments try being nice like thank you this video helped me with my build evey on is so quick to judge God bless
Hi Kevin, the coil on my 1980 ts100 went bad and I cannot find a replacement (P/N 33410-48520). Suzuki made this specific years coil different than others by integrating an ignition control unit into it, so universal replacements don’t work. My only option I think is to go with the Ohtokc CDI conversion for ts100. It states that it will work with a Nippon Denso flywheel but my flywheel is stamped FP4191, do you know if it will work? Thanks
@@2strokeguru thanks for the info. found this on a forum about the different tapers. S cranks are the 3 speed 6V cranks. L cranks are your 4 speed H 6V variants. Type R cranks are the 12V cranks. There was also a G crank that was produced on some 6V Honda monkeys overseas between the L and the R cranks.

Use a resistor spark plug so take the original plug to the parts store and ask same plug but in resistor
