- Here in this video you will watch how to wind rewind a bike cdi coil or alternator coil yourself. It is very easy and successful to do such a job. I did it many time and every time it was successful. Cdi is the most important part of a bike. It is the heart of a bike. Good cdi system runs your bike flawlessly. Also if your bike have good ignition, it runs fast and takes less fuel.

Hi, my dear friend . I want to wind the small bobbin for my kawasaki 250 motocross. The big bobbin is healthy, but I don't know how many turns there are in the coil of the small bobbin and what is the size of the wire. Please help me to fix it.

What is the equation you use to figure out the amount of turns? i need to rewind a snowmobile coil of similair size, and need to get to around 590 ohms. This is the only spec the service manual gives me
There are no hard and fast rules and formulae to do this job. All you should do is to follow the winding rules. The rest is hit and trial.

That wire you have on the spool looks much thicker than .006mm

Maybe you would have a bad charging rectifier regulator. Try replace new one. Or second thing can be a loose connection somewhere in wiring or inside alternator winding or on the ground connections. All you need to test and pin point the problem. It could be a little tricky or hard but it is possible. Wish you very good luck with your repair.

Any insulating paper readily available.

Sir, If i wind the coil for say more than you said like more then 2000, will it give more voltage or less voltage?
It will increase voltage. But too much voltages could diy capacitor or scr inside CDI unit. Eventually you will have a bad CDI in the result.

@@imnalongchar5187 for this particular armature segment only. Honda armature needs 4700 turns. Your particular armature needs experiment. Your voltage at maximum rpm shouldn't increase 400v ac.

Sir, nice video. How thick is this wire? What if i use 0,9mm wire and 125 turns. I would want to power lights with it. How can i get around 50-70 volts and 55watts from this. Is it better to use thin wire?

Wire no. 41swg. One side of wire is grounded. Body ground. The other side is going to cdi.
@@JahanZeb1976 total 3 wires right one wire grounded ,secound wire taken at 1500 turns ,3rd wire taken at 2500 turns . which wire goes to cdi the last one or secound one.
This was experimentation. If middle wire works for you, great use that one and leave the end one. Otherwise if you feel low voltage ⚡ to cdi then use the end wire and leave the middle one open. Hope you get my point.

Less turns mean less voltage.. Bigger wire more current can produce
