This was so much needed for me, thank you very much Jeannie! I love thick full brows but I unfortunately went through adolescence in the early 2000s crazy plucking era, and here I am with sad brows lol After trying tons of different brow gels and mascaras I found one that holds my unruly hair in place, but I was wondering if you have any suggestions to try besides the infamous ABH brow gel. ❤
I am also a victim of my own over-plucking! Hence why I now fake a big, fat brow haha. I would suggest NYX Brow Glue. They have different tints but I like the clear one. It takes a bit longer to dry but has a hold similar to the ABH.
Yes! I would recommend to use them on a clean and dry face and then use your skincare around your brows (avoid any product in them). And then use a setting spray to “set” them before makeup! It helps me when I’m working those hot days and my brows are usually always intact!
Sometimes, yes! It’s definitely a case by case basis. I definitely groom the brows first and then usually do skincare. If I’m doing a heavier eye, I tend to start there so then I can clean up the skin and finish the rest of the face. If I’m working with someone who is particularly dehydrated or who has been working a lot, sometimes I’ll even do a mask while I do the eyes, just to make sure the skin gets as much love as possible.
@@Jeannie-Giannone does all that tugging on your brows just increases the chance of pulling out some brow hair? and how does it go with removing those products off your brows? do you need a lot of tugging as well?
@@zilam98 I would say yes because mine are sparse too. Then you go in with the pen to fill in the bare areas. That’s what I do, both on myself and clients!
Nope! It can get into the brows and will make them slippery so they don’t hold the shape. I know it can be a bit of a pain to do skincare afterwards, but it’s the one thing I’ve found that makes my brows actually keep their shape! (Setting spray too)
Yes you can! Start very light and do a few strokes. Step back and see how they look, brush through with a spoolie. It takes practice! (You should see my brows from 2021😂)
Perfect Jeannie🤎🤎🤎
Thank you!!
Oh wow this was very helpful. You gave tips I'd never seen before.
With all the information on YT, I appreciate you saying that. I’m so glad you found it helpful! ❤️
Yay! Very Informative. Thank you!
Thanks for saying so!

Hi Jeannie! I use the exact same nix pens and colors, but they don’t last long on my skin ☹️
Any tips to make it them last till the end of the day?

Your skincare and face makeup techniques are so opposite of mainstream ones. Do you use your personal techniques on your clients too?

@@zilam98 no, not at all. I don’t find that I’m tugging a lot at all.
@@Jeannie-Giannone do those "soap" or laminated brow techniques work for sparse mature brows? mine are more sparse than yours

I bought a ice roller, not used yet.
just wait! it's life-changing!
So not even moisturizer and sunscreen before you do your brows? That might be my error.
