A few years ago my family and I were on a bus going into Brighton when Zack Pinsent (as I found out after a bit of research) got on and none of us could take our eyes off him he looked so out of place dressed in his amazing clothes on a bus, but so dashing! What a lovely young man, you were so lucky to meet him, we were all too shy to approach him at the time tho I did take a sneaky photo!

So interesting in combination with the historical aspect. For example that pink is a "girl's" color just around 120 years plus... Same with blue for boys. In the end it shows every color is for every sex. Colors are beautiful and shouldn't be restricted to anyone. Let's be colorful. ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for this awesome and informative video. Loved it. I LOVED THIS! Little fact about me - when I was a teen I dressed outside of the box - punk leaning, which got me into trouble at school in the early 70's. I didn't care and continued dressing as I pleased. I made some of my own hand sewn items and jewelry I made. I adore people who dress for themselves and not others. One reason admire you Philip and the choices you make in fashion. I have told you that a few times that I like your clothing. My hubby wears women's coats soooo YUP I like them on men. I never knew about Zack before - I will check his channel out. Thank you for sharing Stephanie! Side note: sorry I had to step out of chat, my adorable grandkids dropped by. 😊

Although I don't wear dresses or skirts, not even kilts, I have to admit that being a straight white guy it is difficult to dress as I would like. I like color, bold color, rich cloth, accessories. for instance I typically wear a large rhinestone brooch instead of a tie or bow tie in upscaled dressy events with either of any of my tuxedos. it draws a lot of attention which I usually don't like, I just like the richness, texture, sparkle and something no run-of-the-mill fashion. It is not often possible in the America southern states, more boring, non attention getting drab clothing is the norm with other seen as queer.

@@endeavouringit human judgement is a survival instinct and not necessarily a bad trait. when it is used to marginalize groups of people or even individuals wrongly then yes, it's a bad behavior, but not trait.

Especially today as my sister's major was costume design. :) Makes me laugh on the elbows on the table.....my grandmother (raised in France) we had to use our best manners around and one was about the elbows. The " neck wraps" were probably to protect the jackets and shirts from the oils being transferred from the neck/skin. It would make sense because washing the jackets et all was probably labor intensive, even the ironing and shaping of a jacket after washing.

They weren't washed. Jackets were brushed, and occasionally spot cleaned. They couldn't be washed.
