After weeks of Abel sitting near his tent on super rainy days, it good to see some sunny Nelson weather. Plenty of exercise for an overnighter in an inspiring landscape.
I think I'm getting too old to camp in the rain GJ. I'd rather drive an extra hour in the other direction to try and find some sunshine. I've always felt that the Tablelands Circuit is one of my favorite overnight tramps. It has a little bit of everything.
@@samandkevsoutdooradventures maybe it was the last of the decent dump we got awhile ago. I managed to camp out for it up near lake Sylvester. Hopefully soon we get more. Before I was filming my trips Victoria and I went over Gordon pyramid in near waste deep snow. It was not exactly a fun trip but a good experience to look back on lol.
Thanks for showing us around, for being a creative videographer & for representing New Zealand at its best, a refreshing watch.
Thanks Dave. Appreciate the lovely comments
@@samandkevsoutdooradventures who will get to 1,000 first, S&K, Jesse or Pete so well done, you’re almost there.

Lol where is the snow. I’m hoping to go up near ballon hut for a big snow mission if any ever comes.
There was a little bit up Mount Arthur Abel, but it was about a month ago that we were up there.

Nice little trip Kev. Good variety in the landscape and huts as you say. Cheers
It's a great wee tramp. Kahurangi National Park is probably my favorite of all National Parks.
Great job. Looked cold.
Thanks, Jason. It actually wasn't too bad in terms of temperature, as long as you kept moving. But we had plenty of warm gear to layer up if needed.
Filming a bit too fast at each facility Kev.Nice trip though.thanks.
Thanks for the feedback, Larry. I'll slow it down in the next video.
