Overall I'd say the issue is that there's no one established to run net control. We've been lucky a few times when Dan from Dallas county will pop over and run net control if Dallas isn't running theirs on the Perry repeater. As of right now he's the only one with direct access to NWS that I'm aware of.
@@genestevens7584 inappropriate comments made by the ham who had the Polk County relationship with NWS DSM and that person was asked to not be onsite there any longer to convey traffic. I'd say the bigger issue was that the communications relying on a single person was destin as a point of failure. While Jason is working to reestablish a net control protocol during storms with that repeater so far it's been while he's been working that we have had the storms. Likely it just needs someone to take net control and using normal reporting methods to report to NWS.
Well.... We are going through one of the worst storm and tornado seasons in recent memory. My guess is that if NWS hasn't replaced that person, then they have no intention of doing so.
