That is near my childhood home. My Mom and my friends worked at Sears. It was an open mall back then, not inclosed like now. Brings back a lot of good memories. 🤗
My first bike in '61. Toys, candy, nuts through the '60s. Records and Craftsman tools through the '70s. VCRs and tapes in the '80s. Clothing, shoes, auto maintenence, keys to the end. This state has gone straight to hell.
I grew up going to that Sears in the 60s to the 80s ... From about 65 to 95, I read it was Sears #1store in sales ... Back in the old days where you showed all the shipping contaoners, they use to have the Catalog pick-up building, it was about the size of an average fast food restaurant.. Allot of family shopping was done there and at the BP Mall ... That was when Penny's and May Co. were still there as well as See's Chocolates, Long's Drugs, Kay Bee's Toys, Musicland, Aladdin's Castle, Vans Shoes, B. Daltons, Waldens Books ... Etc, etc, etc ... Thank you for the memories ...
Thanks for the the video . I love that mall and the Sears. I just discovered that mall two years ago . It was abandoned just about because of vcovid . Me and my little daughter called it the scary mall . I was wondering what seats you used to work at and it’s cool too see that. It’s the Buena Park one . Please keep the abandoned retail videos going . Also to be honest those construction workers where looking at you because you’d a female they liked what they saw . They couldn’t care less you ever . They where looking at you
That’s a good idea, but let’s see what happens next to the mall. Also, they’re going to temporarily put Spirit Halloween again this year. Hopefully they’ll do some construction to this abandoned Sears besides temporarily putting Spirit Halloween. I never heard of Ames department store, but let’s see what department store will be in the abandoned Sears.
Now I’m not gonna lie, but when I went to this mall, it was pretty dead looking, Some stores I saw that were closed was the Sears, The Sports Treasures, The Payless Shoe Source, and the Bed Bath & Beyond.
That looks EXACTLY like my local one dude, even the logo is postioned (pretty much) in the same place as it! (i mean in the inside mall where you started the recording)
this sears just seamed to fail to atrack custmours and since the pandemic happened it also shutdown due to health concerns but im soo glad that the sears near whitter is still alive
Unfortunately for Sears Canada and Fry's Electronics that was Not the case. Sears Canada will not even be back, not even online unless / until a Buyer purchases the Sears Canada name and Intellectual Property rights. Fry's Electronics ended its retail business entirely and will not even be back online until purchased by a buyer with intellectual property rights
Dang I know that sears. I worked at the sears auto center in Westminster and orange and in between I was about to transfer to the auto center at Buena Park
@@dalsterrocks11 dalster, you would be shocked to hear this but. the sears lower level is open to public. from the mall johns incredible entrance, a hallway down goes to the lower entrance

I grew up going to that Sears and I got to say, I miss those good times.
Yeah, me too. I’ve been to Sears in Buena Park Mall and Westminster Mall while I was in elementary school and in the 2010s decade.

I worked there for two years from 2013-2015 in Kids. Sad to see it gone now but only wish well for all the nice people who worked there.

I think that they should put an Ames Department Store in that abandoned Sears store because Ames is an excellent store thank you.

Sadly Fry's Electronics will not even be back online
That’s too bad. I always wanted to go to Fry’s

Yeah, but it’s pretty dumb of how they keep the logos up to the entrances of the stores while they’re closed except for Payless ShoeSource.
Nice story about your experience at Sears. Sounds like a good place to have worked.
Cool video thanks for sharing and I used to go to the BP Sears often last I went was 12/21/19
The lower level felt so creepy
That looks EXACTLY like my local one dude, even the logo is postioned (pretty much) in the same place as it! (i mean in the inside mall where you started the recording)
Happy New year series it was the best place of all to shop that's where that's where everybody went to
Does Sears name will live on forever in our hearts and minds
Inside almost feels like Sprit Halloween
Those shelves are for our Spirit Halloween ...
this sears just seamed to fail to atrack custmours and since the pandemic happened it also shutdown due to health concerns but im soo glad that the sears near whitter is still alive
The rest of the sears are gonna close soon
Yeah it's impossible to find a Sears that didn't close down sadly
it wouldn't be possible to find a Sears that didn't close down sadly
The auto center their was bought by Tesla Buena Park.
I think Sears will be back but online

What do you think Sears in this mall will become in the future?
I don’t know. I think apartments, but I feel like they might tear the mall down someday since there’s not a lot of stores there anymore.
