It's odd that I lived in Buena Park for a few years but I never went to this Sears. I even went to the mall to eat at Portillo's.

I notice spirt halloween is a store that doesn't stay 100% at any location they jump into empty spots in either malls that have empty spots or go into abandon buildings and take over for like 2 months then disappear and the workers have to go find other jobs after 2 months

yeah both Westminster mall and Buena Park mall is own by the same company owner and I was at Westminster mall 2 weeks ago to check it out one last time for good old memories and the game stop closed down for good I worked at both johns locations Westminster mall then it got shut down then we moved to Buena Park and I worked for a bit before I left at Westminster johns open in 2009 and shut down in 2023 if I remember correctly then we moved over to Buena Park we had the choice to go to Carson as well but I picked Buena Park I feel bad for the ones who declined and barely worked before we moved over to Buena Park now they use the sears for spirt halloween each year and now parts of downstairs is used for the 17th door halloween thing each year I worked almost 1 year at Buena Park and a few months in Westminster mall at the Johns so whatever happens good luck

Worked at this store over 25 years ago. Manager was a large, hideous greasy haired woman that smelled like Ms.Fields cookies and Marlboro country..I HATED THAT JOB.

I'm 63 and I was taken to Anaheim Plaza for the first time when I was 4 years old in 1965. It was an outdoor mall back then and didn't become an indoor mall until the early/mid 70s. It's best years were probably from 1975/1976 to 1982/1983. By the late 80s it was a dead mall. It was never a very highly regarded mall, and along with the Buena Park Mall (only a few miles from Anaheim Plaza), it was considered a ghetto mall. Btw, the Robinson's store was at the north end of the mall. The Mervyn's was near the center of the mall on the east side of the mall. And The Broadway was on the south end of the mall near the I-5 freeway.

I was trying to remember where this was. I had to look it up. Then I remembered it was where I went to Rubio's every Saturday when I lived in Buena Park. Thanks for sharing.
