years ago i had a meal in a german restaurant in frankfurt. best meal in a restaurant i have ever had in my life. eating in a german restaurant is just breathtaking. omg that beer. just adorable.
Tupac Amaru Shakur ja nicht bei uns das is mehr so eine französische sache aber in belgien gibt es das gleiche mit rinderfett da wo die Pommes eigentlich herkommen.
We robots love a good Bratwurst. Especially when made from human boy scouts. Very tender. We mix in some girl scout cookies just for the irony. Great video as usual, Ken human!
the funny thing is i live in Munich about 30km from Weihenstefan away and never saw that Beer, but i know there is a Brewery. :D and that Duckfat Fries are a new thing too. A lot of People eat Currywurst, in Munich not that much but in other Places outside Bavaria or Baden-Würtenberg. You must try Döner Kebab which is the Number one Fast Food here. In Munich most sold Beer is Augustiner Hell (Hell means Bright) and is a very old Receipe. First Brewed by the Augustiner Monks in 1328 - or Tegernseer Hell and from the White Beer the Number one is Franziskaner. The Beer you drink there is a Glass for White Beer, which is a little Different than the usual Beer. I think the Translation for White Beer is Wheat Beer. And btw Wild Bore is amazing
I'm German and this (while it's not 100% authentic) looks really delicious :) Glad that you got to taste something that is from Berlin where I live now :D Hefeweizen is best served with a slice of lemon btw ;)
Curry Bratwurst is not the most common type of Currywurst in most parts of Germany. More often you will find the "Curry Bockwurst" which is a bigger and has a slight smoked flavor. Even Volkswagen produces it's own one, which is delicous. You can buy it at some supermarkets in northern Germany and at Volkswagens factory canteens. Curry Bratwurst ist more of a popular combination of the popular Bratwurst (grilled sausage) and the popular curry sauce (commonly a type of ketchup with mild curry and other spices in it warmed up) which is also used for the Curry Bockwurst. If you can find one in Canada or the US try it. I think it is the even better combination. Did they put curry powder on top of yours? This is a must. Adding hot chili powder or hot sauce on top has also grown popular in the last years.
Ken, as your pest from Dallas that constantly comments in shock over the prices you pay for each of your meals I feel compelled to tell you that once again I am shocked at the price. This time the price point is too low!..that meal looks awesome and would go for much more where I live..the duck fat alone should increase the cost of the meal!...I would LOVE to try that meal!
I know this is an old video but damn that beer was expensive. I do buy the same one but in the supermarket. You get a pint sized bottle for £1.20 (approx $2.27 canadian ).
Ohhhhhhhhhh that ALL looked lovely Ken !! That beer also sounds fantastic !! I like light/wheat based beers vs traditional "Canadian" ones. :P And I could be wrong but I think the duck fat frying of fries started in france? Either way would luv to try some sometime. :D
I would also like to add that I have lived in Belgium the past 3 years an i have never seen duck fries. But you can normally get Bratwurst and many other things at the Frituur ( A fry shop / Chip stand type restaurant. )
Wow that place looks awesome I'd love to try something like that, Canada is a little far so I'm gonna have to make do with the German version :P Would be great to see you try some of the other things from their menu especially Elk, Bison, Boar and Venison. I love Wild Boar! You should get Ben in on it too... :D
If you go to panda ask for both rice and noodles were I live in Boston it doesn't cost extra so hopefully it doesn't for you and also you have to try their orange chicken it one of the best things they make.
Im born in Germany and lived my whole life there and I must say, that I NEVER heard about Duck fries!I'm born in Berlin and never lived in another city in Germany and I had my last Currywurst about 2 years ago...okay,I must say that I'm Vegan (we have FREAKIN much Vegan and Vegetarian people in Berlin!Actually 10% of all Germans are vegetarians. In big German citys like Berlin,Hamburg,Collogne etc.,we have also Vegan Supermarkets). How much poutine do you eat in Canada?Cause I don't now any people that eat more than 2 Currywurst in a Month ^^
Ken, if you come to Germany one day....you HAVE TO try a "Döner". It is very popular here in Germany. It's kinda like a shawarma. But more awsome. Nice Video!
