Years ago I ordered a nylon filter for my Husqvarna 55 and when I picked it up a Stihl rep was there and warned me to only use it in the winter and use the flocked otherwise because the nylon wouldn’t filter out as fine of particles.
Once you got back home, did you put on your Cobra Kai bandana on, jump @ doing kicks, saw swings and slashes? Would like 2 see footage of that!👍🆙BigGuy
Good looking saw ! Make sure you ask around and try and find someone who will tell you where the underground black market performance motor shops are there. Talk about an outlaw candy store that can turn your saw into a true competition killer...... If you can get the parts back that is. Good luck
Totally get the 40cc size 80 to 90 percent of my work is done with my cs400 and it's nice to have a big one for felling around the 70cc 75cc 80cc area but never really understood why someone would really want something in between those 2 sizes.
Is that saw setup for .325 or what? Something weird, with the camera placement it looks like the room is split. The line for the one shelf almost perfectly lined up with the change in upholstery colors in the chair and the box edge. Take a look at the video and then you’ll see it. I don’t think that it’s intentional, just happenstance.
Hey Boedy, I see Echo has put their version of flip caps on this saw. Is there anyway I could have you try them on the 590/620 chassis? I wouldn't mind switching to something that didn't require a screntch to open the caps. Thanks
Looks like Peter Framton has some competition! I couldn’t find anything on a hd68 but did find a hda68-1 this carb has a 15mm venturi which is larger than the hda-49 on the PP335.🤷🏼♂️
I've noticed quite a few of the builders, here and on forums, say they prefer the flock type, over the nylon. Haven't tried enough with a nylon to have a preference myself, just know I've heard it lean that way.
@@modarkthemauler also a great little saw! Very capable! I once read a book by Dave Johnson, the good woodcutter's guide. He wrote:'when your saw is never too small, then it's almost always too big.'
Glad you got the 4310, too bad the US market does not exist for premium small Saws. They also have nylon screen filters for the 590. Only way to raise compression in a clamshell without extensive machining is with a pop-up piston.
The reason in my opinion, the 4310 might not sell in the U.S. because emissions and the california gas tool ban. Also some states will follow suit the gas tool ban and so battery will take over.
Battery doesnt work, It cant take over! You cant take 20 batteries with you every day!🤣, sure as an european i dont understand your Crazy emissione regulation, but batteries simply arent reliable with today technology, from cars to power tools, they cost too much, dont last and fill the world with trash
Those small saws are for forestry thinning. Cutting the smaller stuff out so the trees that are left grow faster. Different forestry practices in Europe and Scandinavia.
So far the Stihl 241 has been the proven 45cc saw. Once ported it hard to tell the different between it and the 261. Which is quite a feet in itself. I'm a hooskie guy, but will NEVER turn down my 026. It's a lil screamer.
Hmmm...thats a good question. Right now the 4310 is being shipped back from Charles Brisco. When it gets back, I'll check. Don't hesitate to ask again.
Hi Here in Germany are the tree way smaller than the most in USA. And I have never see some real trees in the USA. Only on pictures & video, Instagram & yt. The 7310 is in Germany an SX and the first one with these caps for gas and oil. I don‘t like this chains with low kick back. They are slow. The McCulloch have up to 95% problems with carburetors. You have to change them by an Husqvarna carburetor and then they are good (enough). Not this, what you know of an McCulloch. Believe me. If you need parts for the ECHO, I‘m sure, I can help you. 😇 Greetings, Dirk 🤜🌳🌲🪵🤛
Yes, all ECHO pro saws, at least here in europe EITHER have an "X" for the pro series in the catalogue OR, the name ends with "SX" like CS-501SX. Here in Europe the CS-7310SX is what i "think" you call the CS-7310P ????
👍. Nothing on the carb for this saw, even on EU websites….fairly new though, so not unexpected. Maybe you should pick up an extra plug and filter while you are there. May be hard to get and high$$$ in the states.
I was so looking forward to buying this saw in the USA. Then I heard this saw will most likely never be available here. Very disappointed indeed. I agree, too many people think bigger is always better. How foolish they are.
I have a serious chainsaw fetish. For Stihl and husky. The echo always intriguing to me. Every time I get wound up to buy one. I can’t get passed the cheap plastic feel. Almost toy like.
Ive been a stihl owner since the 90s, trimmer- muliple chainsaws ...the trimmer I had lasted 19yrs ...so pretty much when I need a small engine tool I looked at no other brand until I went to a new dealer which sells both echo and stihl side by side, I kinda thought that the plastic on the echo was slightly more flexible so the dealer actually had a loaner srm-225 trimmer and let me take home for a day...the thing definitely had been used and fired up on pull #2 cold....the speedfeed head worked flawlessly , SOLD! I then needed a blower, after researching the 4mix engine that comes on the stihl backpack blowers I decided to get an echo....now Im researching saws, it will be hard to pull a stihl saw out of my hands but Im seriously thinking echo now

Any suggestions on where to purchase one and get it shipped to the US. There's a void in 40cc+ saws that weight
I certainly understand why you wanted that saw! IMO Japan has upped the game in quality, possibly the front runner.
That looks like it’ll move some air. Good looking saw man and can’t wait to see er running.

YES, what a great time for our “Novice Lumberjack”! I’ll TAKE it.
The venturi in 590 is actually .590, 15 MM.

Isn't that stihl small pro saw the 024? Nowadays I guess 241 or something like that?
Yep, the MS241 and that as well is currently not available in the US but is available in Europe.

O wow now looks at this🤩 looks like 2 stroke heaven to me.
Hello , nice work ...is comptabile muffer from 59 to 43 , i have idea that is ported on stuck way :-(
I would have to buy another bar, I couldn't use that good looking bar and get it all scratched up!!

Makes sense. Thanks for sharing!

Do the fuel and oil cap fit on The Thunderkitten? 4910 owners would like to know :-)

I want this saw so bad, I don't understand why it's not available here in the US
Would that Stihl dealership sell directly to buyers in Texas? I would like to get their contact info. Nimble Jim
You would need to speak German. My wife had to translate. Hemprich Motor GmbH in Berlin, Germany.
My next - door neighbor speaks German, so maybe it's possible to order an AD
On the phone?
Are you saying 4510 is consumer grade, while the 4310 is a Professional? Hmm. Might get one if so!

That's 4310 SX. Letters got changed by spell check. Jimbo
Thanks Jim, fixed it!
Toyota of the saw world.
Charles Brisco could make that little saw spicy 🌶!!
Yes, I know he could...but come on man, I've been doing pretty good myself. I will be the one to tare into this little guy!
@@novicelumberjack.... good for you man. Toot your own horn!
