B in my mother tongue is V sound and the letter called Βήτα , for b sound is more like a consonant cluster Μπ( mp) - B.P for us is R ( Rho ), r is trilled. More close to Latin R, English R , Spanish RR, and Icelandic R . P sound is the letter Π ( Πι ), confusing for begginers, but you use to it. Thanks Ausa.

In the New year I made a wish and THAT wish was to learn more Icelandic in order to talk to my Icelandic father so that he could be proud of me learning the AMAZING language of the land of fire and ice, Yule lads with Grýla, Leppalúði and Jólakötturinn, delightful view from the most famous church Hallgrímskirkja, singer Björn and Sígur Rós and especially THE NATURE ITSELF!! I'm crossing fingers with teaching icelandic, you are my big idol.. Nice, kind, lovely, fun and educational and that's what I appreciate from you most, keep up doing what you fancy for YOU and friends. Many greetings from Prague, the Czech Republic from Czech-icelandic family 🤗🤗 (By the way, I had spent a four day vacation along with my sister and my Icelandic dad in Reykjavík.. so... no female form of pappakassi,, then? my new favourite word, that... it is so expressive-sounding of mild disdain. almost as brilliant as the way the islandic word for mansplaining is also built to echo the sound of "explain" in your language. (by the way, in mine, we just boo people, we do not use a preposition like "on", but of course we would know what you meant. takk fyrir 😊 ps still waiting for a chamce to say, ⚡"ekki, ekki, EKKI" ⚡especially while pronouncing it super-breathily!! nothing in iceland to be that negative about (except maybe us visitors sometimes?!)
No female form of pappakassi, but it can be used for all genders! Feel free to call a woman pappakassi, even though it is more commonly used for men. Typically nouns only have one gender in Icelandic, but are used for all genders. Like teacher in Iceland is "kennari" a male word, but used for all genders, and a human being is "manneskja" a female word, used for all genders. I will probably explain this better at some point
