I live in Las Vegas but originally from Louisiana where it always rains and floods, it was so crazy to see so many people not taking the flooding seriously.

@@CeeJai_K true, but 9/10 they got a different definition of flood compared to you. They don’t get that kind of flood there. That like someone from Arizona telling someone from Denver or Chicago it’s cold outside wear a jacket it’s only 60 degrees.
Tell me about it. It once took us an hour to get home from what should have been a 15 minute ride from a restaurant after some torrential rain. Every major thoroughfare on the West Bank was flooded. We had to pull onto the least-flooded side street we could and wait it out.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. There have been instances where vehicles are carried to a waterway and flipped causing drownings.

We live in a quiet part of Oregon. Not much happening. But you won’t believe what people try stealing..which is everything not nailed down or locked. I listen to my dog as well. He knows beforehand if someone is out there because these people are good at creeping in the dark and trying not to trigger the cameras. It’s their livelihood to. Sadly.
Is it rural Oregon? If so, that sucks as I am thinking of moving back to somewhere more rural in the PNW, I used to live in Vancouver but that's too close to Portland and "city culture" for my liking now.

North east Oregonian here! Used to a decent here as well, lot more drugs, homelessness, robberies, shootings, arson, B&E's, the list goes on. I now have 3 cameras around my house now.

My car was recently stolen from right in front of our home. We didn’t have a doorbell camera. Our neighbors and our townhouse managers had cameras. Still didn’t help us catch the guys. We are a firm 2A household…unfortunately the cowards got us at 2am. We were asleep and didn’t hear. 2A is great and all but it didn’t keep my family from being stolen from. It just sucks. We’ve been through so much in the last 3 years. Our house burned down, I lost my dad, my husband lost his dad, I had to stop working due to lupus/kidney failure and we just lost my only sibling, my brother to a car accident/fire 3 months ago.
Now we have to deal with being robbed, too. If I could personally get my hands on the little turds that stole my car, I would end up in prison. My car wasn’t even anything nice/special but dang….we just didn’t need anything else right now.
I hate a thief.

These homeowners need to stop being so nice. What do I mean by that? Don't ask these criminals any questions, don't make them feel comfortable, or make yourself seem vulnerable in any way.
Just let them know that they're treading on thin ice and they need to leave right now. Tell them something that will make them leave immediately.
And never ever open your doors to help or talk to them, unless you're armed and/or have someone with you.
Be nice or the trespassers will come back and set your car or house on fire.

Sould be enhancements for crimes that are committed during a natural disaster.
I know that in Sonoma county , there are enhancements for looting for instance during the wild fires . And usually the inmates will “remove” the looters from general population ….at least that was the case when I was an inmate during the wild fires . The guards informed the inmates if looters where getting booked and waited a few minutes before breaking up a “removal “

Those Ring doorbell cameras are a must! After watching these videos I'm gonna get me one as well as regular cameras and place them all around my home. It's frightening to say the least to know there's plenty of people out there lurking around trying to get into your personal space. I sometimes wish it was still 1970. Automation, and computerization has actually made our lives more difficult. 🥴

Um, lady with the front door wide open, if you leave your door like that, it's not exactly "breaking and entering." It's just trespassing. That being said, no one has the right to enter your home uninvited, locked door, wide open door or no door. However, you should probably follow your own advice, and LOCK YOUR DOORS.
When you own a Ring camera, don't be stupid by answering to those trespassers. Don't threaten to call police, if you aren't going to follow through. Call immediately while the person is still there and arm yourself with whatever you have around your house. You have the upper hand. These people have no shame to their game, and if it weren't for Ring cameras, you would never know the things that happen in your neighborhood.

In San Bernardino County the tweakers just walk in and make themselves comfortable. Loma Linda is in San Bernardino County too. If the homeowner calls 911 in Loma Linda township it will cost the homeowner something like $400 to come to their home. That is why the girl was saying that if they call the cops on her, they will have to pay.

He couldn't see his car moving @0.26 second mark, and did not hear the tires crunching sand, dirt and pebbles on the cement as it crept forward, and he didn't hear the crunching of the metal siding when the car hit the house?

Why, oh why, do these people attempt to drive through that kind of flood water??? Once those tires lose contact with the road, it's bye-bye. You've got no control over where your car ends up and you'd better pray you don't get flipped over. People have actually died attempting to do that.
And even if you don't get swept away, you can still lose your car if the electrical goes out. Many insurance plans won't cover that kind of damage, particularly if it's discovered you drove into the water on purpose.
