No, I'll hand it to you that this is probably one of the best unit transportation in videogames. It is effortless and a lot more strategic to the point where you want to transport without the issue of "Instant transportation" that other games have.
I can only assume they misinterpreted 'harpoon' and used a missile launch sound. Or something like it.
