KPOP rookie girl group BILLLIE (yes, spelled with 3 Ls) is the new girl group from Mystic Story Ent., a subsidiary label of SM Ent. known mostly for ballad singers until now.
They debuted with the unusual / great song RING X RING (Ring by Ring) on Nov.10 and were briefly a 6 member group at debut, adding 7th member Sheon for their followup Xmas digital single SNOWY NIGHT.

Re: LORE IN KPOP and Bi11lie MYSTERY in official videos (my opinion, YMMV):
I'm not usually a big fan of Kpop group lore, mythology and mysterious storylines as a gimmick for getting fans to watch MVs. Only DREAMCATCHER ever pulled this off well IMO plus they had great music (I think the Kwangya / ae nonsense is one of the dumbest things to happen to Kpop a (now contaminating other SM groups) and seeing a group coached to claim they have conversations with 4 non-existent 'members' is embarrassing. Other groups attempting lore haven't interested me all that much either).
The lyrics of their songs continue this Bi11lie storyline more or less, but I'm not sure whether that's a good idea to continue in the long run. So far so good with What is Your B? short film & GMY (tsw) MV. Whether the whole Bi11lie storyline pays off in the long run remains to be seen, but I'm loving their music so far unlike some Kpop groups that just relied on gimmicks while releasing mediocre songs. Part of the Bi11lie Love mystery storyline made me want to rewatch the Criterion Collection Blu-ray of Peter Weir's cult classic 1975 Australian film Picnic at Hanging Rock (not the mediocre recent miniseries remake).

Well, I'm glad if I've helped any newer fans get up to speed faster, but making guides for my top 6 girl groups just felt like a constructive way to do a small part in promoting my groups while I'm stuck at home as an asthmatic during c19 and can't afford to buy whole shelves of albums to support my faves like the people trying to win fansigns do. I'll get both versions of Billlie's new cd and Fromis_9 and the upcoming Purple Kiss mini eventually, for now I'll just play the MVs over 100 times or so (151 on GGMGY currently though chances of a music show trophy are past for this comeback plus 50 or so on Tsuki viral fancam which is hitting 4.9M views tonight) and regularly update my guides to help new fans a little. Kpop is taking some time from my movie geek side lately (still need to take 3 hours to watch Ryuusuke Hamaguchi's Drive My Car, WSS remake and a few others before the Oscars), but Kpop cheers me up during all the craziness in the world these days.

Why do I say kawaii instead of aegyo? Because she was a Jpop idol in Magicour briefly (Taru chan in Magic MV) before joining this company.

Why do I say kawaii instead of aegyo? Because she was a Jpop idol in Magicour briefly (Taru chan in Magic MV) before joining this company.

There's also a cool 10 track instrumental OST for the short film that gives story leading GingaMingaYo, an 11 minute video What Is Your B?.
You need to react to their first MV debut RING X RING (it also has 2 short films totalling about 11 minutes of storyline / lore that precede it, Bi11lie chapters one and two).

LIKE IT HOT is their most recent. Also recommending PUZZLE MOON, PINKY STAR, RED SUN (021), and performance video of WONDERBOY THE AERIALIST (b-side better than 4th title track Bazooka). They have 5 mini albums full of great b-sides and some of their frequent songwriters worked on BILLLIE's recent b-sides. They have really good choreography.

GWSN 공원소녀 GongWon SoNyeo (Girls in the Park), the relatively unknown QUEENS OF B-SIDES.
They have great b-sides and have possibly the most fun choreo in Kpop (especially known for finger tutting, clockwork arm movements, vogueing and waacking), yet being on a small label they only sell maybe 10K CDs per album vs. Dreamcatcher's and fromis_9's 60K-100K CDs. Their b-side WONDERBOY THE AERIALIST off their 4th mini album is a highly recommended jazzy song performed in suits.
GWSN started out with a deep house vibe on title tracks like PUZZLE MOON and the more upbeat pop PINKY STAR and dance oriented RED SUN (021). The first 3 CDs Park In The Night trilogy had lots of pop-oriented b-sides that I like more than lots of pop-oriented girl groups' title tracks. I'll list the titles below in the 'Dance Practices' section. 10 of my top 35 songs of 2019 were by GWSN (much like PURPLE KISS taking over my 2021 favorite songs list).
Then 4th title BAZOOKA was very pop oriented and I preferred the more jazzy, laid back b-sides on that album. 2021 saw them go a bit more low key sexy with title track LIKE IT HOT and b-side I CAN'T BREATHE while 4 of 7 members gave us BURN.
GWSN only have a few b-sides that I don't love out of a 30 song discography (BLACKPINK is the only group with more reliable b-sides, but they rarely release music making that easier to do, FROMIS_9 and rookies PURPLE KISS are the other 2 groups whose b-sides are this consistently good).
GWSN has probably the GREATEST SONG written for a Kpop fandom in GROWING ~ FOR GROO (Groo is their fandom name) which has both a choreography video and an MV editing together footage of stage performances and fansign events. The music theory students might say it's their least musically adventurous track on the album, but try to sing along with the lyrics and this song gets me misty-eyed every damn time. I'm sure it holds a special place in every Groo's heart. It's probably my #3 song of 2019 after BLACKPINK Kill This Love & Don't Know What To Do and a song I spent a lot of time singing along with badly same as INTERPRETATION OF DREAMS off their next album PITN pt.3. Growing for Groo is a b-side on The Park in the Night Part Two, probably the most underrated Kpop album of 2019, full of bops and clever choices (ReacttotheK had it up there with (여자)아이들 'I MADE' as best Kpop EPs of 1st quarter of 2019 and I'll take it over any Twice mini album. If you like groups like Twice and Gfriend, you should probably check out GWSN and fromis_9). GWSN also have the sincere vocals thing going on, especially in this song, like my #2 group fromis_9 does (another group known for fun choreography with lots of hand movements and even better synchronization). GWSN and FROMIS_9 are 2 groups that make me NOT want to skip their ballad tracks.
DANCE PRACTICES
While FROMIS_9 probably still beats them at choreo synchronization, I'd give the edge to GWSN for better choreography. They also use lots of hand movements, but are more known for tutting, vogueing, and waacking. This is a great group for Kpop dancers; the dance line is Seokyoung, Miya, and Minju. In addition to the 5 title tracks (PUZZLE MOON, PINKY STAR, RED SUN 021, BAZOOKA, LIKE IT HOT), many of GWSN pop-oriented b-sides also have dance practice videos (in chronological order): YOLOWA, TOK TOK, GROWING ~ FOR GROO, ALL MINE (COAST OF AZURE), TOTAL ECLIPSE (BLACK OUT), and the jazzy WONDERBOY THE AERIALIST, while MELTING POINT and low-key sexy I CAN'T BREATHE had tv stages.
Sadly, the bouncy b-side MISS PING PONG has just color coded lyrics vids.

Start with MVs for new song DM, summer bop WE GO, LOVE BOMB, FUN!, FEEL GOOD (SECRET CODE), and b-sides ESCAPE ROOM (girl crush dancing in suits), chill AIRPLANE MODE, rainy day song WEATHER, city pop retro LOVE EUM PUM PUM, and MULGOGI. For ballads try PROMISE, STARRY NIGHT, FLY HIGH.
FROMIS_9 even proved they could do girl crush if they wanted with their cover of f(x) classic song RED LIGHT and their low key sexy dance cover video "[flaylist] Ariana Grande - break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored' PERFORMANCE by fromis_9"
Their early tracks GLASS SHOES, TO HEART and DKDK were very girly like early Gfriend since fromis_9 formed from a reality show Idol School, their name stands for FROM Idol School and is written like 'promise' in hangeul alphabet).
