As I consider retiring to the Philippines or Thailand, one thought I have is to hire a live in caregiver verses looking for a partner or spouse. A paid caregiver has an incentive to ensure you live as long as possible…thoughts?
The only challenge with retiring in Asia is the distance. You can't just pop on back to the US like if you were in Mexico. But being worlds away, I'll bet it feels good. Hope he finds peace and happiness in his golden years. Life in the US is getting more difficult every year.
