I've been doing this every morning for a couple weeks now. My flexibility hasn't improved as much as I'd like, but my back and hips are nowhere near as stiff as they used to be. Tell Liam that he came up with a good routine here! I'll be sticking with it for the foreseeable future.
This is incredible. I was all locked up after a heavy-activity weekend with martial arts and a 10mile bike ride. This has me all loosened up in just 25 minutes!
Gotta go against the crowd and say i loved this routine. It’s probably not for everyone. If you don’t know what’s a downward dog for instance, yeah, it’s probably too quick for you. But you don’t need to be an expert yogi either. I’m a beginner but I’m familiar with most of the poses and I only had to rewind 5 seconds once because i missed the transition and tbh it wasn’t really necessary. Also, it’s a routine you should be doing maany times if you want to get anything out of it so its fine if takes a few tries to learn it.
Great workout, im a 54 year old who started bjj last year and have been looking for a routine to help with mobility.. and ive just found it thank you 🙏
Great mobility routine. Spiced my own right up. One mistake. That active stretching method is called PIR post isometric relaxation. PNF is a different method used in physical therapy that requires a therapist facilitating movements and muscle activity in a patient
the pace seemed a bit too fast, im in complicated positions trying to look over at my phone to reference what youre doing, and then you go to the next position before ive had the chance to work the current one. I will say I do feel fantastic after this session, and will look to come back to improve this flow daily.
I am really torn apart! The exercises are amazing and I love the flow! So big thanks for the instruction! Sadly I found it quite challenging to follow along in some positions while having the video open on my phone (especially in the position with the legs over my head and the bridge). It could be a little slower. I am sure that with some repititions this will not be a problem anymore. And the split positions, oh Lord! Felt stiff as f*** there! 😂 Will need some pratice!
this has some great advice and tricks, I like the dynamic variations of what I tried with yoga, makes it more fun and gets my joints cracking and feels better but this is horrible to follow along haha he talks about different things but not what he is doing right now. I see something and do it, face down, he talks about stuff not mentioning what he transitions to, I look up and it's something completely different. I'll take this and make something of my own out of it but an actual follow along of this would be great, this is good stuff
This was great and I really enjoy Liam’s videos. Could we please have a slower version with more explanations? I struggled to keep up but very much enjoyed the bits that I could do. Thank you 🙏
If you're going to spend this long on mobility, you may as well go to a Yoga class IMHO. I haven't got 30 mins a day for mobility, so I wrote my own plan that takes 15 mins max! But, it means I always get it done. Frequency and consistency is the most important thing. I used to have a 45-minute routine and it ended up getting done twice a week at an absolute best. Little and often is the way to go if you have a busy lifestyle.
time aside this is different that yoga on its own, also no mater how busy your day is you can always extend it 30 minutes further into the night or morning or just break it up into sets
@@grimmxretro When I work I am out of the house for 16 hours a day. I honestly don't have another half hour on either side of that to give. This means for 4 days I would not do any mobility work at all. I like to do it at least 5 times a week.
@@TheArtofme This takes me 15 mins a day. I usually do it at a minimum 5 times a week. Be mindful though, that what works for me, may not work for you. This is very specific to myself due to previous injuries and tension in certain parts of my body. If anyone likes it though feel free to use it, or pick what you like from it to add to your own mobility routine. (Mobility Routine) Shoulder Slides (10 Reps) Towel Pulls (10 Reps) External Shoulder Stretch (10 Reps) Cat Cow (10 Reps) Thoracic Stretch (5 Reps) Asian Squat (2 Mins) 90/90 Stretch (2 Mins) Glute Bridges (10 Reps) Hamstring Stretch (10 Reps) Nerve Flossing (15 Reps)
wheeew I cant say im not exhausted after the first five minutes, or that I can even fully get into a downward dog after I overstretched something in my heel awhile back, but its like learning to play an instrument. Im gonna take it one move at a time and im confident I can get to a point where I can do this routine daily.
Why not? i’m 50 with low flex and upper body strength and I could do the first half without problem, making a couple comcessions only. Then i got tired. I like this flow and plan to repeat this routine and get better.
As a long time subscriber, I want to ask for a specific Parkour video please. I like my Earth Runner and Shamma sandals. What I am asking is for a “Parkour” review of various shoe options. If I had to flight instead of fight, or if just for fun, which shoes/sandals are up to the task/Parkour? Maybe give ratings like proprioception, grip, durability. Rose Anvil cuts shoes in half to evaluate the insides, but I am more interested in how well a pro athlete can perform. Them maybe the channel fighter can also review how well various brands of footwear can serve in street fights etc. You could all do reviews based on different needs, do head on head reviews also. Maybe give a Bioneer most functional award each year for footwear.

The pace a little bit too fast for first timers, we can't see the video on some movements and had to rewind it many times. There's no "next movement" example video before it started, you can put it in between 2 moves as a rest, 5 seconds should be enough.
I always wonder if I'm unusually healthy for 40+ or if I just never saw what I was capable of in my 20s. I hear people in their 30s, online and irl, saying something along the lines of feeling their age and I can't relate. Side note, I love the decor
Yes, 30’s are prime years, not over the hill. I’m 60 now and didn’t feel over the hill until Covid hit in 2020 and stopped me exercising. At 55 I was still smashing 40km daily on a bike, surfing, ski-ing hard etc.

He said he keeps a speedy pace to stay warm, so I warmed up a bit before and put it at 0.75x speed. That's the sweet spot for me. Thanks for this!
It was a little to speedy for me, too. thanks for the tip, I haven't thought about just slowing the video speed down xD

Slow the video down
Agreed
Agree it’s a bit rushed. No mention of the breath which is pivotal to many of these postures.
i mean it's more of a showdown of what he does in nazive speed. in any case new routines will take you a couple of weeks to get right
