The violist at 14:38..... OH MY WORD SOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!!
The 3rd string quartet by Shostakovich is in my opinion (together with No.8) the best of an impressive set of 15 that he composed. The sonority and tempo of the Dover String Quartet is fabulous, amounting to a great overall performance. Bravo.
Sonorous, rich, gorgeous sound from this quartet ... outstanding interpretation of the music. Passionate!
Great piece!! love the violist, such a powerful player!!
No kidding. She is world class.
Incredible musicians !!! Great performance.
I'm working on this piece as violinist and i can definitely say that the dover and borodin quartet are the best recordings to listen to.
12:53 is allegro non troppo
Love the handling of the tempo dynamics and the solidity of the cellist. Wonderful.
Very accomplished fir a group so young. Fine performance.
my favorite recording of this piece!
Super
Super nice :)
13:54
The first violin looks like Joey in Freinds
good performance but missing power and energy
What? Are you serious? They had so much energy...
Alberto muñoz I'm sorry, didn't mean to offend you or anything...
I completely respect your opinion, just shocked that you think there is no energy in it. But, seriously, I do respect your opinion. Maybe the style is different...idk
What is "missing"? You don t know what to say.
I agree by a small margin.. since I saw David Oistrakh Quartet on TH-cam
This is still pretty good though IMO ;-)
Pretty sure he is being facetious.
