This new episode of Vivaldi's complete Op.1-12 contains the 12 violin concertos Op.7, published in Amsterdam in 1720. Driven by the popular success of La Stravaganza and the already published L'Estro Armonico, Vivaldi wrote these concertos in the same vein: brilliant, spectacular, full of vitality accentuated by the colors of the Mediterranean.
Antonio Vivaldi and Claudio Scimone, two names forever bound to each other in a quest for orininality and beauty. The one as a baroque genius to be rediscovered after two centuries of neglect, the other as a resolutely modern conductor and Vivaldi’s rediscover as from the ‘60s.

How can I concentrate when this music *slaps* 🎼🎻😍
I’m not particularly making any comments about this orchestra or the performance of this music. But Vivaldi is my most 2nd favourable 18th century composer in the repertoire; and i always listening to his compositions using original instruments, where possible. They sound, so…very different, as opposed to modern metal stringed instruments.
