I sold this machine and picked up a Woodland Mills chipper. It’s more Money but trouble free I looked at Woodmax but a lot of the parts looked the same as this one the Woodland Mills is engineered in Canada and has features that I haven’t seen on other Chippers the Clam shell design makes easy access to the blades and the folding feed shoot makes the footprint for storage and transport less than half the size.

Looks about the same as mine. We also bog down if we have a lot of green branches the feeder is clearly the weak point of this model

if you ever have the chance to run a woodmaxx chipper that is the same size as that one run it and you will see how much better than woodmaxx is

Did you ever replace that shaft for the feed roller? I recently bought a similar unit and within 20 minutes I had a ujoint blow out.

Shadicus I sold this machine but never replaced the shaft. I bought a Woodland Mills chipper it has a much better pull roller setup. It’s hydraulic has its own pump driven by the PTO shaft

How is your hearing and sight guy? If you keep working around equipment without ppe (personal protection equipment) you may loose both!
