This is a great channel because it isn't pretentious with click bait headlines. They just get on, get it done with no fuss. They do justify and deserve higher subscriber numbers. This will be one very impressive and unusual cabin when it is finished.
I like that while he is not slow, he takes his time and does each task deliberately. And when there are options he chooses the stronger one even if its a bit more expensive. This is going to be a very well-built and strong house.
That requires a lot of courage to work on those heights. My hat is off to Chris for his dare devil work. I like how Chris is so methodical with all of his work.
Hi, I live up in North Pole, east of Fairbanks and have enjoyed watching you build from the start. I am a 74 year old senior who has built a small home and several log cabins on my trapline and can very much appreciate all your hard work. I also know the uneasiness of working at the top of an extension ladder. In a pretty horrific accident I slid off a 20+ foot high roof and broke my neck and back but was pieced back together with titanium and am outwardly, good as new. I was not wearing a falling harness as you are wisely using. My best wishes for you and I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you both. Dave S from up north
Of all the Alaskan Cabin content creator couples on TH-cam you guys are the best. You work well as a team and as individuals doing your part. Your knowledge and techniques are sound, well reasoned, and your workmanship is superb. This structure will be amazing when its done! Best wishes to you both, subscribed!
I love your content. No telling us what you are doing for half the video. You just get on with working. I love the occasional nature pics. Thank you for being hardworking, but most if all, REAL.
Your video's are first class, your skills are amazing. I look forward to your video's. You include so much in each video so I realise you can't put them out as quickly as I could watch them. Amazing work, you work together so well and the work you are doing is great.
I do have to say your guys ingenuity is really impressive. I so enjoy watching you two work so well together. ❤ you two are going to be a stronger couple after this build and in the future. God bless you both. 🙏🏻
Very much appreciate proper use of safety gear demonstrated on TH-cam channel!! It may not be glamorous, its how I would like my husband to stay safe on the job!
A wet and muddy dog deserves cuddles and kisses. By someone else though! I used to install free standing 68' towers. No safety equipment. Looking back I should have had my head examined. Watching you go up the shaky ladder and deciding it was not safe is a good example to ALL watching. "Never risk it". I rarely watch any videos all the way through, but your videos I find very well done and really interesting. Take care and please stay safe. PS: Pat on the head for the pup, please.
I am so impressed with you guys. I have absolutely none of your skills, but I find watching you educational AND I'm not constantly worried that you're going to hurt yourselves, like I am with another TH-camr couple. I watch.
I’m willing to bet you sleep really good at night, because you work your butt off on your house. You might be dreaming of ladders all night long though. 😉😊. Fantastic build skills and may God bless you and your wife through this build and keep you safe !! Thank you for sharing your knowledge ! ✌🏼😎🍻
More people have to watch you and how you lift up your siding (OSB), because you have it down to a science! WHEN YOU'RE LIFTING BY YOURSELF, THAT'S THE WAY TO GO PROUD OF YOU
Great video. I love watching you build your cabin, and work on your homestead. Chris, you are so safety conscious, and thorough in your building of your cabin.
I am so amazed at your attention to detail and safety. I am watching a couple of others who are building their homes. After watching your videos I find myself silently screaming in my brain “No! No! No! That’s not how North To Alaska did it. You are to be applauded for excellent workmanship and a great channel.
Land of 10,000 nails! Great job. Fun for all of us to watch. I understand days are not as much fun for you both. Your home built by your hands. Thanks for sharing.
The approach on this build is just awesome. It impresses me on every video. Chris needs to start an Alaskan cabin build company!... in all his spare time.
Great job guys i’m a retired. Union Carpenter living in Washington state I never was a housebuilder. I was a commercial carpenter. I like your videos know exactly how to do stuff right
I’ve been watching you guys for a long time and Chris does a hell of a job. He’s a very good carpenter and I’m sure he’s a very good husband so you guys keep up the work and I’ll keep watching. I don’t think I could do the letters like he doesI’ll keep watching God bless
I love the attention to detail and THE NUMBER OF NAILS!!! I need stock in that nail company! Keep up the great work, this place is being built to last!
Youth isn’t wasted on you both!…. I am so proud of you two!… really excellent progress. This home is going to be so solid and beautiful . I am excited for you to finish and move in!
Enjoy your videos, and seeing how much a couple can do on their own. I can't believe you put up the house wrap right side up (so you can read it) lol, passing a smile your way!
Looks really nice. This Grammy does not like heights so this was scary for me to watch. I can’t imagine what it was like for you guys. I’m glad you have the safety harness.
Even my knees are shaking ,ma I admire you knowledge & work habit you have ,& an excellent helper. keep up the good work .Love& always look forward to your updates . thanks
A remarkable 2 person effort.....so efficient and carefully thought through. Also excellent tools which brought to mind the old adage.. ''a workman is only as good as his tools'' Fascinating to watch as the A frame goes up. Well done
Good job! We love your content and are always eager to see the next installment of your beautiful home build. My husband was born off grid before there was an off grid in a log home in south-central Idaho. He says to tell you that he's sure glad you are up on the top of the ladder doing that sheathing...and not him! It will be a lovely home.
Great job!!! I had a hard time watching you up that high off the ground applying the sheathing! Glad you were tied in. Love watching your progress and the filming.
Very seldom does my Husband find my TH-cam channels interesting…. You’ve turned him into a fan! He’s a Health and Safety guy, I could hear him saying, “If you aren’t sure, don’t do it!” And then you switched ladders!!❤ He also said you are a braver man than he! Great vid and team work!! Can’t wait to see your progress.
A real nice project. A pyramid indeed. Hard work for sure but you two are pros in my book. Thanks for letting us come along, from Central Oklahoma. We love your doggie.
Really Really amazing ya’ll. Ya’ll’s work is a labor of love but that doesn’t mean it’s not hard work. Keep those harnesses tight and feel everyone cheering you on!
I’ve been watching you people for quite a while and you have done an excellent job. I would’ve never been able to go up on a ladder and do what you did to work together very good so like I will keep watching you for quite a long time now and really enjoyed it, so keep up the good work and God bless
I like the fact that you very innovative and you have things planned out I see many who struggle , make a mess then put it on vid to teach others the wrong way of doing things. Good job. Love your vids.😂❤
Good evening from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Both of your end walls look great. Hope you have a safe week. Can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. 🇺🇸
Not a big commenting person but you guys need to be praised for your work as well as safety. God Bless!
❤

I don't understand how this channel only has 62k subs?? Love the content guys!! keep it up!
It’s because he’s not showing off his wife like others do. I stop watching once they do that.
@@partypooper4080 yeah its so obvious when they do that. Im with ya on that.
@@partypooper4080 I absolutely agree with you.
@@partypooper4080you took the words right out of my mouth.
They don't post on a regular schedule. To build a dedicated following you must post once a week and on the same day.
So beautiful to see the way the two of you complement each other. Really love the support of your wife. True reflection of teamwork.
I like that while he is not slow, he takes his time and does each task deliberately. And when there are options he chooses the stronger one even if its a bit more expensive. This is going to be a very well-built and strong house.
So impressed with how you two work together and how mindful you are of safety and saving your body by finding the right tools to help.
I am a builder, and I just gotta say this is a top notch build. Loving the project! Thanks for filming it!
That requires a lot of courage to work on those heights. My hat is off to Chris for his dare devil work. I like how Chris is so methodical with all of his work.
I am a carpenter and it’s really nice to watch you guys take your time and making thing the proper way and love your tools by the way milwaukee team ❤

I agree about the pup. Seems bored often. To be fair, it might just come across that way with the little bit we see.
First class work well done the both of you retired bricklayer from SOUTHAMPTON ENGLAND UK

Also that scenery of those mountains, holy cow they are incredibly majestic. ❤
That router works really slick to cut off the ends of those boards. I never would have thought of using one to do that. Learn something new every day.
Looking more and more like a home!
I’ve been watching you people for quite a while and you have done an excellent job. I would’ve never been able to go up on a ladder and do what you did to work together very good so like I will keep watching you for quite a long time now and really enjoyed it, so keep up the good work and God bless
